Montreal just recently received over 70 pms of snow, so we're all working from home today. Instead of heading out to the studio, I'm browsing around at the Metropolitan Museum: www.metmuseum.org/art/collecti...

This afternoon, my son's family's dog died surrounded by her people. This is one of my favourite photos of Daisy and my grandson, August 2024

Allies no more. In fact, who the fuck are Canada's allies? The King of England doesn't seem to give a fuck about one of its former favourite colonies. To be fair tho, most of us don't give a fuck about him either. Sigh. This is all gonna end badly.

I'm still trying to figure out how to make the best use of Bluesky. For now, linking to existing Flickr albums seems like fun. Today, I added these two marbled clay pinch pots to a Flickr album here: www.flickr.com/photos/79164...

I find it really interesting that I can post my Flickr albums here so people can access them directly. Here's another one with photos I took in the Holmes Herbarium at McGill several years ago: www.flickr.com/photos/79164...

I've recently scanned my very first glaze notebook, dating back to 1971 because I'm about to donate it and other material to Concordia University's archives for The Visual Arts Centre in Montreal. In 1971, I was a member of the Potters Club, a tiny cooperative which transformed itself into the VAC.
