Doesn't matter that I've taken this very same photo more than a few times. It's just so darn pretty. Even on a cold, windy, gray day. #Tallinn

Find the interpreter at that one-on-one meeting in Helsinki. The one where Putin said, “I will release the details of how I threw the election to you unless you do exactly what I say.” It’s time for them to talk.

Students at an art school in Germany hung this banner in the central rotunda.

Thanks to the Neue NationalGalerie museum shop in Berlin (and Barbara Kruger and an anonymous translator), I have a new shopping bag for use in the USA, where most people won’t know what it says.

Does this level of pettiness sound familiar? “Jewish workers and employees shall no longer receive long-service awards.” “Jews dismissed from state service can be denied the license to practice law.” “Jews shall be ineligible for rent assistance.” a random selection-Jewish Museum Berlin

Does this level of pettiness sound familiar? “All Jewish teachers in Prussia who are not regularly employed shall be dismissed.” “Childless Jewish women are not eligible for health insurance coverage for investigating the causes of their childlessness.” (Jewish Museum Berlin)

I’m probably the last person to hear the neologism “Dogebags,” but I sure do like it.😂

Well, today the robocalls started. I guess that means my phone number is out there. Looking forward to hearing directly from "Big Balls" (Edward #Coristine, age 19, citizen of Canada, now evidently ALL up in our business).

A personal best. www.nytimes.com/badges/games...

This all rings true to me. (I mean, what do I know? But the logic is there.) www.nytimes.com/2025/02/02/o...

A week since the Antioch High School shooting. And at the Nashville School Board meeting last night, I heard a message loud a clear from students. “We don’t want vouchers. We want violence protection.”

It's cold up here. The kitchen was 41º when we got up. Once the outdoor temperature got above 10º, the heat pump started working again. Also, we have a fireplace in the kitchen. So, I've been making soup. This soup. It's amazing. www.gimmesomeoven.com/roasted-carr...

I like to try to get the fire in the fireplace to look like gas logs.
