Shabbat Shalom to everyone who recognizes that the safety, freedom & thriving of Jews and Muslims are bound up together — in Israel & Palestine, across the five boroughs, and in many other beloved places.

Yet another variation on this tired shell game. It will be great if this actually results in some coal plants retiring earlier than they might have, but the credits are just going to be used by participants "to sell on to clients," allow them to emit those same tons elsewhere in different ways.

The death of people in detention isn’t just a ICE problem. It’s a prison system problem, too.

This article made me ill. It's clear that the Israeli army is massacring Palestinians daily, but to read it in the soldiers' own words...they're just "following orders." "It's a killing field," one soldier said. "Our form of communication is gunfire." www.haaretz.com/israel-news/...

There are so many things we can do. Love this piece from @moira.bsky.social

If you missed the event, you can still read about our vision for a housing justice centered approach to the home insurance crisis in this piece I cowrote for @dissentmag.bsky.social: www.dissentmagazine.org/article/a-pu...

Over 200 people are shutting down Palantir's office in Palo Alto, CA right now. This is perhaps the company most driving corporate fascism, kidnappings, and war across the globe. #PurgePalantir

Re: Skrmetti and the ongoing attacks on trans youth and gender-affirming care, including in media outlets like NYT: This has never been about care or concern for young people. Re-sharing our resource, We Must Fight In Solidarity With Trans Youth: bit.ly/SolidarityWithTransYouthBrief

Nbd, just two of the smartest housing + climate ppl I know are having a public convo tonight at Clios—the cutest, most charming bookstore+bar in the Bay. See you there? Feat: @moira.bsky.social @patrickiber.bsky.social & Zach Lou www.dissentmagazine.org/blog/bay-are...

Join us tonight, Bay Area!

“Private capital will never deliver a just transition away from fossil fuels. The public sector MUST be involved. “Capital is incapable of a managed transition + there is no profit motive in justice.” @jmijin.bsky.social on the need for public ownership as a key component of fossil fuel phaseout.

People in wheelchairs are getting arrested right now in the Russell Senate Office Building in DC. They showed up to tell Congress not to cut their Medicaid, because they cant afford health care without it. If you look closely you can see the zip ties on their hands. #WeWontGetOverLosingMedicaid

LESSONS IN COURAGE, CARE, & COLLECTIVE ACTION from the international accompaniment movement. From @moira.bsky.social & Zia Kandler on @wagingnonviolence.org Big respect for WNV, their writers, and their consistently good, important, articles for these times. wagingnonviolence.org/2025/06/less...

Something the Mamdani win demonstrates is the extent to which the reigning cadre of ancient, establishment, centrist Dems think it’s more important to be on good terms with their GOP colleagues than it is to represent their own voters, and how thoroughly sick of this literally everyone is.

Current mood: Scanning Bluesky feed for all the celebratory posts about Zohran and then basking in them.

Imagine if the Democratic Party actually helped Zohran instead of trying to kneecap him at every step. A better party is immediately possible if they stop shoving money into the anti-trans combination Racism Dial/Money Toilet and instead get behind candidates people actually want.

Primary all the fuckers!

Safety planning & preparation for organizers & community leaders in this moment of growing authoritarianism in the US is essential. And, as I learned as an international accompanier in Colombia under an authoritarian government, we must also bring our values of community, care, & joy to that work.

Actual physician priorities for the US: -health insurance for all -increase physical activity -housing -secure access to good nutrition -vaccination -cancer screening -substance abuse treatment Not on the list: -wearables 🤦🏻‍♂️

Every morning, a new story about how many Palestinians were killed by Israeli troops while looking for food. But we’re supposed to believe Iran is the big bad.

Remember during Trump 1 when he blamed all manner of ills on MS-13? Now the Admin is releasing top gang leaders held in the US, apparently as thanks to Bukele for imprisoning US deportees in El Salvador. Bukele doesn’t want them to testify in the US about secret deals he made with them.

to call this a crime against humanity is true but inadequate — it’s a crime against all creation

This is very cool, and I would love to see this model replicated (or even better, paired with) disaster risk mitigation efforts at both the individual house and neighborhood levels.

i don't think anyone who follows me on bluesky needs to hear this but i went to college/am friends with zohran, and he is nice and fun and thoughtful and everything you, a kind-hearted person who sees his campaign videos, thinks. im SO sick of the racist bullshit centrist Dems are throwing at him.

Or transit. Or disaster relief. Or climate action. Or medical research. Or affordable housing. Or bike lanes

This is incredibly beautiful storytelling.

The UK High Court found that Shell & its former Nigerian subsidiary can be held legally responsible for legacy oil pollution in Nigeria, even though they already sought to exit the country. A huge victory for Nigerian communities & just transition work globally. www.leighday.co.uk/news/news/20...

“Our vision is to preserve this land not only for our own children, but also for their children,” said one Nasa leader. And indeed “for everyone in the world.”

illegal war started by a man constitutionally ineligible to be president

Disaster Fascism.
