WTF? None of this is normal! Just bring me sourdough toast and coffee. No DMs. Progressive. Do not obey in advance. Fasten your seat belts, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

I understand that "Dems in disarray" has a rhythm that "GOP in disarray" doesn't. But in 40+ years there's been no Dem-disarray remotely comparable to Trump/Musk/Leo/etc fratricide. Has there been even *one* "GOP in disarray" big headline? Maybe I've missed it.

Pride Month so far: Jonathan Joss is murdered in a disgusting hate crime and the Navy intentionally announces they are changing the name of the USNS HARVEY MILK. America... now more than ever... David Lynch's words ring loudly. "Fix your hearts or die." This cannot be our normal.

When your only standards are double standards.

Law enforcement officers should never cover their faces when making arrests or conceal their identities (unless they are working undercover). They work for us. We have a right to know who they are. These face coverings are frightening & unAmerican, as though they're ashamed of what they're doing.

We're all living in the danger zone. What the hell is going on and why!

It’s a complete moral collapse by the Republican Party. Senators, once a hallowed position, now gleefully think trolling and joking about their actions killing people is fun.

Where’s Tapper on this coming book deal?

Republicans have turned America into a shithole country. They won’t stop until there’s violence. Martial Law is the end game.

In case you’re wondering what it took for Germans to change their minds en masse about their vote…

If you’re telling people to shift their morals to win politically, here’s a hint: morals that vanish under pressure were never morals, they were branding. Strategy can bend, but dignity doesn’t. You don’t abandon people’s rights and right to exist in peace just because the moment gets tough.

“A country that once prided itself on attracting the world’s brightest now builds policy on fear and resentment, squandering an advantage it may never recover.” Brian O’Neill lays out the myths propping up Trump’s baseless war with Harvard.

No religion on earth would condone this level of indifference and hypocrisy; none, Nada, Zip!

Words matter. In every fascist movement of the 20th century, it started with the words. Before the arrests, before the beatings, before the camps, there were the words, writes @thomhartmann.bsky.social: www.commondreams.org/opinion/trum...

“The Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion." — 1797 Treaty of Tripoli, unanimously ratified by the US Senate, signed by President Adams Comments like Johnson’s are what happens when you ban books instead of reading them.

The villains take our data to curate social containment formulas using fractional-order models and they generate public support for fascism in both parties with the help of bots and paid shills. Basically, they mind-hacked everyone to fight while they expand fascism, restrict our rights, and rob us.

Guaranteeing every American healthcare with Medicare for All would save 5x more money than the Republicans’ budget cuts to Medicaid and Medicare. It’s not about saving money, or cutting fraud and waste. It’s about harming and controlling working class people.

The argument “young white men turn to hate because they don’t get enough empathy for the barriers they face” needs to square itself with the reality that men and women of color — and many white women — faced generations of barriers without turning to hatred in the same numbers. 1/

The Trump administration will come as close as possible to saying “we are going to kill you” and people are like don’t be ridiculous. Killing is illegal
