Pictures from life, mostly with my wife. At one time we lived on opposite sides of the world and would leave messages with the moon to share with the other as it traveled the the distance between us.

So, we're back in the cold after a week in Naples, FL. The picture is from Clam Pass Beach where it was a warm 80 something degrees and sunny! #beach #vacation

Just some beach birds chillin' in Naples Florida. Can I get some help identifying them? #birds

After cutting down a dying tree, a pile of branches ended up near my bird feeders. It didn't take long for it to fill with birds! #birds #birdfeeding

With the freezing rain came a 4 hour delayed opening for work!

A frozen Susquehanna River. #rivers #Susquehanna

A beautiful sunset in Lancaster County, PA. #sunsets

Just two Black Vultures hanging out along the Susquehanna River. #birds

NOOO! IT IS A SQUIRREL STOPPER! NOT A SQUIRREL HELPER! #sqrlpix

This fine hawk was nice enough to watch over and protect my bird feeders over the weekend. Can anyone identify what hawk it is? #birds

A frozen Susquehanna River as seen from Columbia, PA. It's been a frigid week starting with a snowstorm followed by a polar vortex with temps dropping below 0F. Once things warm up we'll be watching for the ice to break up and flow downstream, perhaps in dramatic fashion!

Some pictures from last weeks sledding! Looking up and down our childhood sledding hill.

It snowed last week, so we had to go sledding! And of course we went sledding on our childhood sledding hill! Not only is it a great sledding hill, it's also scenic!

We got a dusting of snow last night and my wife made the most of it! #Christmas #Snow

Over the weekend a fox stopped by the shed in the backyard. This isn't the first time we've caught him on the shed cam and I suspect this won't be the last. #fox #wildlife

My wife made banana bread over the weekend and once again she's made something that looks as good as it tastes! Btw, we grew the mint! You can see how by looking at one of our earlier posts. #baking

Went to see Christmas lights last night and saw this train! #christmas #train

Yesterday I posted a picture of our Christmas tree and today I'm posting a short video my wife made. #christmas

Here's our 2025 Christmas tree! Haven't bought a tree in a very long time, but this year we got one before Thanksgiving. It looks and smells beautiful. There's something special about a real tree!

A tree hole full of squirrels! While one squirrel shows its face, if you look closely you can see two more below it! I don't know how many were in there, I do know they weren't happy about it and could be heard arguing amongst themselves. #sqrlpix

The leftover Halloween and Thanksgiving pumpkins were cut open and left under the bird feeders. It didn't take long before the squirrels started to munch on the seeds! So far I haven't seen any birds take an interest in them. #birds #squirrels
