Been interested in John Gwynne for a while so decided to read this, first 20% is really cool and it managed to get me invested in the 3 lead characters very quick. I’m a sucker for anything based in Norse Mythos so something as rich with that as this and prose this pretty gripped me immediately

Non spoiler SA5 thoughts For what it’s worth I enjoyed this book but his weaknesses are more blatant than they’ve ever been, this is his lowest as a writer on the micro level. On the macro he’s always gonna deliver, big AAA blockbuster type stuff is his bag but man.
