I’m mostly not about shitting on Dems rn, we have bigger problems, but telling your constituents you don’t care what they think because of some moderate voter you made up is disqualifying. Primary him.

Critically, even if we’re not literally recreating the spoils system, we’re recreating its incentives. Even if somehow we have a Dem admin in 1/29, only ppl who can tolerate possibly arbitrarily losing their job in 4 yrs are going to join civil service. I’m 40, I have a kid, why would I do that?
