This #SocialJusticeDay, letā€™s redefine the story surrounding #RefugeeEducation. Refugees are often viewed solely through the lens of hardship and struggle. @mosaikeducation.bsky.social we believe in the potential of every young refugee - theyā€™re our future engineers, leaders, educators, and more!

Mosaikā€™s Programme team Mai Nasrallah and Byna Momani recently visited our partner, Amala, in Amman. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect and to introduce our new team member, Lana Anabtawi!

What support do UK universities need to create more opportunities for refugees overseas? In November Mosaik Education hosted an event with UNHCR and Cormack Consultancy Group asking this question. University leaders, academics, and practitioners met to explore challenges and opportunities.

As we look back on the success of our BigGiveĀ Christmas ChallengeĀ campaign, weā€™re filled with gratitude for the incredible support we received! Thanks to our generous community, we raised an impressive Ā£11,302 to help young refugees access higher education!

Our partner @CENET in Uganda recently celebrated the graduation of 36 young refugees from the Mosaik Guidance Programme ā€“Ā marking a significant stepĀ on their educational journeys! šŸŽ‰ Hearty congratulations to all graduates! šŸŽŠ

Today is the #InternationalDayOfEducation. Did you know that only 7% of refugees access to higher education, compared to 42% of youth globally? This statistic is a stark reminder of the barriers that young refugees face, including language, technology, and lack of information.

Our Programme team recentlyĀ had a wonderful visit to our partnerĀ @SAB in Amman.Ā We were excited to introduce our new team member, Lana Anabtawi, and to connect with the SAB facilitators in our weekly meeting.

Recognising the incredible work of our new partners Alsama Project in Lebanon! Inspiring to see our Guidance Programme in action šŸ™Œ The dedication of facilitators and enthusiasm of the students shines through as they take part in experimental interviews, honing their skills and building confidence.

2024 marked a year of significant growth and achievement for @Mosaik Education. As we look forward the year ahead, we also want to take a moment to reflect on and share some of our standout moments of the last 12 months with you - our community:

Today, millions of children around the world are returning to learning after a winter break. But not Gaza's children. Education might not seem as important during conflict, when even survival isn't guaranteed, but it brings stability to such an uncertain time & is vital in building a secure future.
