Wow! www.theguardian.com/global-devel...

Thames Water have been allowed to add another £3 billion to their existing £19 billion of debt. They've run up this bill by paying out huge amounts to bosses and shareholders instead of investing in our water infrastructure. It's time for water to be run for people, not profit.

Are you looking for land for growing? Lochhill Agroecological Farm in Dumfries and Galloway has an opportunity for a market gardener. 1 acre + for cultivation, a supportive farm collective, shared marketing, access to supply chains and more. #Permaculture #Agroecology #LocalFood

A special #Caturday this week: today is the 14th anniversary of my arrival on Downing Street.

“Three things in human life are important: the first is to be kind; the second is to be kind; and the third is to be kind" - Henry James (There is fourth thing: to not elect anyone without an ounce of kindness in their soul)

🚨Breaking🚨 Sir Stephen Fry calls on Keir Starmer to bring ‘effectively bankrupt’ Thames Water into public ownership. 💧 So that ‘it works for all of us, people and planet.’ 🌎 Agree? Sign our petition. Link in comments 👇🏽 #SirStephenFry #ThamesWater #PublicOwnership

@lb-southwark.bsky.social shockingly poor communication yet again about developments #bermondseyplace that affect us all. Zero communication despite giving email numerous times at previous consultations. @acapeckham.bsky.social #berkeleyhomes almost as if you’d rather residents didn’t know.

Nesting season is upon us again. I put out the daily harvest from Bryns grooming session. He’s not treated for fleas & he hasn’t had fleas but if you give your cat or dog flea treatments please don’t pass the chemicals on to the bird population as it’s harmful to them & especially to their chicks

It’s a cold, dank, grey day in London, but there are moments of joy. I love these little drops of water clinging to the moss, each one holding the light from the sky.

As being “free to make our own trade deals” has delivered the square root of jack shit and, as Brexiters still can’t tell us what EU regulations they want to scrap, closer alignment with the EU should be a no-brainer. Great work @bestforbritain.bsky.social www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...

Today is National Snowdrop Day, so here's a photo of the path up to the woodsman's hut @nationaltrust.bsky.social Chirk Castle, which is carpeted with flowers on either side. #NationalSnowdropDay #Chirk #ChirkCastle #snowdrops

Denmark has a new king, the King and Queen get approximately $500,000 from the Danish Government a year, and the whole family is worth $40m. In the UK King Charles gets $150,000,000 a year and his family is worth $25bn. We need to be more like Denmark.

You used to pay £45m a year for two helicopters for Rishi Sunak. Now you pay £45m a year for two helicopters for King Charles. Do you agree we should be paying £45m for two air ambulances for people that actually need them?

A tiny 2% wealth tax, on 20k people would raise £24 billion per year to spend on the things that urgently need fixing in our country. We need some tax justice - the more money you have the less tax you pay and vice versa - that’s absurd.

Banksy drops another bomb.

Today Thames Water's creditors are trying to cut a deal that will cost its 16 million customers £250 extra a year. It's a complete scam. Don't let them get away with it! Sign our petition and bring Thames Water into public ownership. weownit.org.uk/act-now/brin... youtube.com/shorts/vAQIG...

The looters I want to talk about are the ones who stole our safe and stable climate from us. Millennia of planetary harm for individuals' profit. They set the fires.
