Lydia the rescue dog finally trusts us enough to start coming out of her shell. She has been the best foster pup. I’m pretty sure I’m going to fail, as long as Cosmo the grumpy dog is nice to her when she’s healed enough to be around him.

I will never forget all the Trump voters who voted for him out of fear of the boogey man. DEI! Trans people! Immigrants! Strong women! When you get to the root of the root: white people, predominantly men, fear competition. As a society we need to realize the real monster is corporate America.

Senator Andy Kim just went to the USAID building, talked to the security guard there to confirm employees are being barred entry, and then did a press gaggle right there in front to call it out. This is doing something. This is making an effort on messaging. Other Democratic lawmakers: take notes.

Homeland Security investigates immigration crimes and internet crimes. It seems probable that all their energy will be going into immigration and surviving the craziness of this administration. I suspect we will see far fewer sex trafficking and child pornography cases.

As a citizen, I hope our local FBI and US Attorney’s office isn’t gutted. I don’t always agree with them, but I respect their work. As a defense attorney, I would enjoy beating up on a bunch of inexperienced goobers.

Sen. Warnick is more optimistic than I am and normally, I am annoyingly optimistic. I do not believe there are any such republicans in office any more. At this point, there are only a few democrats standing up for the people.
