🚨 Capping off an extraordinary week for the grid, it looks like renewables and pumped storage were able to fulfil 90% of yesterday's electricity demand in Ireland. The final numbers are yet to be published but this would be only the second time this has ever happened, way back in February 2022.

Things we've learned from the election 1. The far right has been rejected (now let's stop giving them air time). 2. Posts and followers on social media don't reflect real life (they are mainly bots and/or not from Ireland) 3. The Irish pay no heed to Musk, and he doesn't have influence here! #GE24

What is the difference between weather and climate. This #dataviz shows the "Central England" average temperature for periods ranging from 1 day (weather) to 30 years (climate). This shows the climate signal emerging. Note the varying y axis that covers the range of the data.
