sometimes i gotta remember that "doing my best" implies "with the time that i have" and that making the thing i *can* make trumps the thing i'm imagining in my head. i can't be an "artist" if the thing never gets made...i have to make it...

saga 1 feels kinda like a bitsy game with rpg elements, particularly once you’re in the tower. spare use of unique tiles, abstract environments, terse dialog (i’m only one sphere in, this is an early impression)

missed posting about it by a day, but happy 20th anniversary to cave story. i was really mesmerized by it when i played it as a kid and had fun with it when i revisited it recently. learning that it was made by one guy got me interested in making my own games, and hey, look at me now!
