Now Watching #SinnersMovie #FilmSky

I started watching the new Gundam series. My daughter was hesitant about watching because she wanted another Zeon show with Char. The preview for episode two looks like it's going to be all about Char. She is now fully interested.

I've started watching Lazarus. It rocks so far, feeling like a natural extension of the themes of Common Side Effects. Adult Swim is rocking the conspiracy thrillers right now and I'm all for it.

It's Saturday! Post a cartoon TV series you love. 📺 youtu.be/JZmw3jzX1t0?...

G20 has Viola Davis as a President beating up dangerous crypto terrorists who use AI. Despite that sounding like pleasing wish-fulfillment for the era, the film becomes more familiar of the genre than a refreshing break from its old components. #FilmSky movieswithmark.com/g20-review/

For being a teenager in 1999, I suppose I should enjoy the nostalgia of Y2K (2024). I did not. #FilmSky movieswithmark.com/y2k-2024-rev...

The Amateur is a spy thriller with some smarts, but it never ascends past a few clever scenes and intricate assembly. #FilmSky movieswithmark.com/the-amateur-...

For those who want an even cheaper price, subscribe to my Patreon for a less costly copy and get my next book delivered when it comes out. I'm currently working on a book about banned movies. www.patreon.com/c/movieswith...

I adored Common Side Effects, one of the best animated conspiracy thrillers on television. Okay, we might not have much of those, but the bar has been set rather high with this show. movieswithmark.com/common-side-...

The extra time I took to learn DaVinci Resolve and GIMP was well worth more than saving money.

Read my book on Saturday morning cartoons to learn all about how Fred Flintstone promoted cigarettes, how Mighty Mouse snorted drugs, and how He-Man courted the gay community. kdp.amazon.com/amazon-dp-ac...

Still trying to process Val Kilmer being gone. #RIPValKilmer

Sesame Street, one of the most critical early educational TV shows, is currently on the conservative chopping block, and they've been waiting to gut it for the longest time. I wrote about the show's importance and why it needs to remain a cultural institution. movieswithmark.com/more-than-mu...

Freaky Tales sometimes finds a groove in its uneven anthology of campy 1980s stories, more notable for its compelling cast than its retro vibes. #FilmSky movieswithmark.com/freaky-tales...

Studio Ghibli's films are alive with humanity. AI art is dead inside, replicating with emptiness. Those using AI to treat Ghibli as a filter never understood Miyazaki's work or creativity. movieswithmark.com/ai-slop-and-...

Good news.

Thanks to all who came out to my panels at Anime Detour. It was another fun year. I managed not to throw my voice out this year either.

Final panel incoming! #AnimeDetour

Getting ready to talk about some wild Japanese movies in Greenway IJ at Anime Detour. Coming up at 1pm.

Day 2 of Anime Detour was an absolute blast. The abundance of folks who came out to Horrors of Anime and (In)Correct Anime History were fantastic with plenty of laughter to be had. I hope all who attended had fun and I'll be back tomorrow with more panels.

(In)Correct Anime History is coming up at 10:30 PM in Lakeshore B on the first floor. Stop on by for some silly stuff. #AnimeDetour

Hey, #AnimeDetour! Only one hour until my wild panel, Horrors of Anime, where I edit rare, raunchy, and wild anime with the theme of Unsolved Mysteries!

Wake up with Saturday morning cartoons at my panel about...that. #AnimeDetour

Time for YTP poops! #AnimeDetour

Coming up at 6:30 PM, it's time to feel super old with Toonami Rewind in Greenway IJ. #AnimeDetour

I've been at Anime Detour for a few hours and it's already a blast. I lucked out with a convenient parking level, upgraded room since the one I reserved wasn't ready yet, speedy badge acquisition, and I hit the Lotus restaurant at the perfect time for satisfying food! Great start!

Come see me paneling tomorrow at Anime Detour. I'll be talking Toonami and pushing out YouTube Poops in the evening. #AD2025 #AnimeDetour2025

I look forward to hosting the Saturday Morning Cartoon Fever panel again at Anime Detour. This year, I made the panel in book form if you can't make it but still want the shock of learning about Fred Flintstone selling cigarettes or Mighty Mouse snorting flowers. www.amazon.com/dp/B0DX79MBTP

A Working Man has its so-bad-it's-good moments, but not enough to warrant this action picture more routine than ridiculous. #FilmSky movieswithmark.com/a-working-ma...

I'm all prepped for my panels at Anime Detour this weekend. Here's what you can expect. movieswithmark.com/anime-detour...
