Fantastic door knocking in sunny Stratford today with our brilliant candidates. 🔶️

Wishing all those observing this holy month in the UK and around the world a healthy and blessed Ramadan. Ramadan Mubarak!

The invitation to President Trump should be revoked. We must stand firmly against these US bullies.

Hello 👋 Stratford-on-Avon constituency, this is a weekly-round up before Parliament recess last week👇

"Let us give back control of British politics to our constituents, not to unaccountable tech billionaires or those who seek to buy influence. Let us renew our commitment to an open and fair democracy." 👏 @mp4stratford.bsky.social calls for a cap on political donations

“This Bill is simple in its aims, to ensure that it is the people of this country – not the deep pockets of foreign billionaires, oligarchs or corporate interests – who decide our country’s future in elections” 💬 @mp4stratford.bsky.social calls for caps on donations in British politics

@mp4stratford.bsky.social brilliantly highlighting a critical issue

Fantastic door knocking session today in Meon Vale with our excellent council candidate. It was wonderful to see many residents again, who supported me back in July! 🔶️🧡💪

I am proud to have presented my Bill to Parliament to cap political donations, kick big money out of politics and tackle foreign interference in British democracy. #PoliticalDonationsBill

🚌Bus services are a vital lifeline in rural communities - my question to the minister 👇

👏Great to see @mp4stratford.bsky.social sky.social highlighting the urgent need for political finance reforms to protect our democracy from undue influence. We look forward to seeing the details of the Political Donations Bill when it returns to @houseofcommons.parliament.uk

The Government urgently needs to get to the bottom of this and put things right for carers. At the very least, surely Ministers need to step in immediately and stop any demands for repayments or threats of prosecution until the independent review has finished.

On World Cancer Day, last week, I had the privilege to meet with Leukaemia UK and discuss policies which would help save lives.

Today it was confirmed that Warwickshire WILL go to the polls on May 1st, after attempts from the Conservatives to delay the election. After losing control of the district and the constituency to the Liberal Democrats, the Conservatives are running scared. We are ready. 🔶️

Hello 👋 Stratford-on-Avon constituency. It's been a very busy few weeks. Below is a summary of some of the things I have done on your behalf to Saturday 25th January. 👇

🏥I have co-signed a letter to the Health Secretary to keep the Type 1 Diabetes disordered eating (T1DE) funding in our local health area. If T1DE is identified and treated early then people can go on to recover and live well. 👇

"Elon Musk is powerful, dangerous and an incredible bore - we’re going to have to hold him and the other tech bros to account because Donald Trump certainly won’t." @eddavey.libdems.org.uk

On Wednesday I signed the Holocaust Educational Trust's Book of Commitment, pledging my dedication to marking #HolocaustMemorialDay remembering and honouring victims and survivors. It’s hugely important to keep their stories alive for future generations and build a better future.

This week I spoke on behalf of #StratfordonAvon #SEND families who are battling for EHC plans, support, appropriate provision, and for their children's right to Education.

Delighted to have joined @samaritans.bsky.social in Parliament on Monday to mark #BrewMonday I pledge to work with Samaritans to ensure support is always available. 💚Contact a Samaritan If you need someone to talk to, anytime. ☎️116 123

Thanks for your support at #Claverdon. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

It was great to speak with residents of Snitterfield this afternoon, after a packed community meeting at the Claverdon Village Hall

'Today I'm calling on the government to negotiate a brand new deal with the EU.' Ed Davey urges the government to join a customs union with the EU to 'Trump-proof' our economy.

“If we cannot rely on the Government to implement such findings, what message does that send to the public about justice and fairness?” said @mp4stratford.bsky.social at #WASPI debate yesterday

📢 Campaign Update: Fighting for Ellen Badger Hospital Thanks to the amazing Beds for Badger campaign, 4,000+ signatures were collected in weeks. Your petition is now with the Department for Health. 💪 Thank you to everyone who’s supported this fight.

👋Hello Stratford-on-Avon, this is my weekly round-up to 12 January

The Education Committee questioned Bridget Phillipson this morning on the DfE progress @mp4stratford.bsky.social raised concerns about the teaching assistant recruitment/retention crisis and asked Bridget Phillipson how the DfE plans to address this Read: www.twinkl.co.uk/l/xmvtl

I will be voting in favour of #CANBill which would put the UK on course to meet its international climate and nature targets. The Bill represents our best chance of protecting our natural environment and building the clean-powered industries of the future. 🌍

All veterans deserve comprehensive and tailored support, particularly in relation to housing and mental health services - my question to the minister 👇

We cannot accept a future where rural areas are treated as an afterthought - I was proud to submit a 4,000-strong petition to parliament calling for inpatient beds to be retained at the Ellen Badger in Shipston-on-Stour.

We can't let British democracy turn into a plaything for overseas billionaires with short attention spans. At PMQs, I urged the Prime Minister to work with us to make sure power always sits with the voters, not wealthy foreign oligarchs.

The climate-nature crisis is the greatest, long-term, global challenge we face. But we now need a joined-up plan to tackle the root causes of this intertwined crisis. I'll be proud to vote to progress the #CANBill on 24 January at its Second Reading.

Wishing all a very good start to 2025 and a new year filled with love and hope. ⭐️🎊 I am deeply grateful for the support and trust our brilliant constituents have shown me. I am reminded every day how fortunate I am to represent such an extraordinary community.

👋 Hello Stratford-on-Avon constituency. I wish you all best wishes for the festive season, for a peaceful Christmas and a very good start to 2025. 🎄✨

Labour’s National Insurance rise is piling more pressure on already stretched GP surgeries. 🩺🥼 Instead of supporting healthcare, they’re hitting surgeries with higher costs, leaving less money for staff and patient care.

📢 I will formally present our petition to save the Ellen Badger Hospital beds in Shipston 🛏🛏🛏🏨 in the House of Commons on **Wednesday 8th January** 👉The petition urges the government to safeguard the provision of community hospital beds which serve our rural communities.

☹️The Labour government's decision to ignore the Ombudsman’s recommendations, and not compensate WASPI women is frankly disgraceful. 🔶️Liberal Democrats have pushed the government to fairly compensate WASPI women in line with the Ombudsman’s recommendations and will continue to do so.

It was fantastic to meet with representatives from Stratford Sports Club, Shakespeare Lions, Snitterfield Playing Field and from Stratford-Upon-Avon Boat Club on Saturday. We discussed grassroots sport clubs, flooding and extreme weather events, playing pitch strategy and accessibility. 🏈🏀⚾️⚽️🏏🏐🏑🥅

What a joy on Thursday evening to attend the traditional Christmas carols singing by the 1st Stratford Scout group to the residents of Briar Croft. 🎄🎅⭐️ It was a lovely evening, thank you for inviting me!

I had the opportunity to talk to Versus Arthritis in Parliament. With family members and friends affected by arthritis I know the pain this horrible condition brings. I am an #arthritis champion, advocating for support and quicker diagnosis. #NHS

Thank you to @neweuropeansuk.bsky.social, @mp4stratford.bsky.social, Baroness Lister, Lord Rannard, Lord Hannay and Lord Balfe for a great meeting in Parliament! We discussed emerging issues for EU citizens in the UK and look forward to working together to protect citizens’ rights.

🎅Today, I’ve supported #ChristmasJumperDay with @savechildrenuk.bsky.social Together, we can help create a brighter future for all children everywhere🎄✨️

I was very pleased to sign a letter by my colleague @sarahjolney1 calling for a Youth Mobility Scheme between the EU and the UK. A great opportunity to give to our young people.

It was wonderful to meet with Stratford Upon Avon BID Manager yesterday. I look forward to working with Aaron and the team to continue to support our fantastic businesses. 😊 #smallbusinesssaturday2024
