If you send me anything about a 24 hour general strike, I will simply assume you are a very unserious person. I have been getting stuff about 24 hour general strikes once a month for the last 15 years. Just admit you want a day off.

Stop advocating for trans people by referring to us as canaries in the coal mine. The whole point of the canary is that it's an acceptable sacrifice to protect the people who actually matter. We are not a *warning sign*. We are real people. Our lives and rights matter in and of themselves.

Today one of our local tribes used space in my church to issue tribal IDs to their members in response to concerns about natives getting caught up in ICE raids. And even though this was made necessary by cruelty and evil, there were glimmers of beauty today.

Since the president has ignored Bishop Budde’s very polite exhortation not to commit grievous sins against the vulnerable, the next time he enters a church he should be told that every tear shed by a trans person or a migrant because of his actions will testify against him on the day of judgment.

Yesterday we found a dead owl in the medicine garden at my church. Like a big owl, which is definitely atypical because we are in the middle of downtown. I know most of the local tribes see owls as bad omens, so I’m definitely not thrilled about this 😅
