Scammers are already running rampant on this site. Cool. Yeah man I'll totally send $65 to some random gmail account to help process my Indivisible application, thanks so much dude.

An 8pm meeting is a lot more do-able than Thursday at 3pm. I have high hopes.

I just applied for this. Really hoping it goes somewhere.

(4/4) AOC's personal website. It doesn't work on Android mobile, I can't scroll down to the Volunteer section. When I do on my computer, I see very little about ways to get involved beyond upcoming events. But I did sign up under "How Will You Take Action?" hopefully something comes of this.

(3/4) Bernie Sanders Fighting Oligarchy Tour. Go to the website, see a recording of a previous rally. Cool. It says to RSVP to an event near me, but no upcoming stops are listed. The only thing I can do is donate money and watch previous tours. No call to action beyond that.

(2/4) The only thing marketed is their weekly meeting, which occurs on Thursday afternoons during working hours. That's not much flexibility for the working class, and it's the only thing I can think of to get anybody at their organization to reach back out to me.

(1/4) Attempts to get involved in the progressive movement #1: Indivisible. I filled out the form months ago to get signed up to start my own group since thetr isn't one. I never heard back. I applied again. I reached out on FB, Instagram, even wrote them a letter. No responses.

Hey Bernie, can you do us a favor and help empower us to actually do something about this? You're spot on, but pay attention to the commenters asking a simple question - How? You tell us during speeches to get involved, but I'm telling you, we aren't well organized. Can you endorse a specific group?

(3/3) We are past the point of reading posts, news articles, watching news and speeches, etc. that detail everything that is wrong with this administrstion. For fucks sake- we know. We do not need convincing. What we need are practical, effective ways to get involved politically.

(2/3) Still, it stuck with me. So did one friend telling me that leadership is essentially looking around at the situation and going “Well, this is what needs to be done, right?”. And that’s where I’m at with politics right now.

(1/3) I used to work as a front desk agent at a hotel. I was complaining to one of my coworkers about everything that was functionally wrong about how management ran things. He said to me, semi jokingly “Be the change you want to see in the world”. It felt pointless to say since I wasn't in charge.

Everyone on the left urges political action to counter Trump, but where is the recruitment? Where's the organized movement ready to take on people who want to get involved?
