Here is why I point and laugh at people who think MSR's Jim is a Skylark. Here's how big a Skylark is compared to a TR slate wagon. I reiterate. For 2ft-ish gauge engines, they're... ENORMOUS

i was let go from my job with no notice. i'd be very grateful for anything in the mean time. if you cannot afford to donate, please share. love you all.

So after freshly repairing my 3d printer, what's a sensible thing for a test print? Design and print a new fucking brakevan body in 16mm obviously smh.

You ever have a kit you kinda forgot you put together?

Ember finally shows her paces at a nearby model club! She performed faultlessly I'm happy to say, with my recent joining of the 16mm society, you never know you might just meet ember yourself in a garden railway near you...!

Shit this is a runaway gauge isn't it?

Consider Ember the Bagnall to be my last finished engine of 2024! Faces drawn by @colloquial-kayak.bsky.social

Me and Ember are now off to meet her name sake. (My new born niece) Merry Christmas everyone! 🎄🎄🎄

You ever just build/buy an engine and are overwhelmed with a desire to just-

I've managed to rig together a temporary means of getting Ember to move under her own power. She's a wee bit sharp off the line, but she runs smoothly once she is. I imagine this'll iron out once she's properly bedded in.

The comedic size difference between Ember and Lywis. I can't even.

How the build started Vs how the build ended Needless to say I reckon she looks lovely

And now my little Nancy has had a name change, while she's not ready yet, she looks the part. Say hello to Ember!

I've started work on my next model kit, and here it is! The Hunslet 'Jazzer' side tank loco. Also, the sale over on my etsy shop ends tomorrow! (2nd) So it's your last chance to grab a bargain! - doublempro.etsy.com

Hello my new followers, good to see you, let me show you what I've been building today; I've taken a bootlane works "Nancy" kit and designed and printed a new smokebox for her, needless to say she's looking a damn sight better!

Damn, talk about sticking power!

All my fellas!

Bluesky is currently the #1 free app on the Top charts 🔵 Twitter (X) is no longer in the top 25

how it feels moving here and finding old moots

Coming soon for 009 scale...

"is your engine screw link or lever reverser?" "Yes"

Pixie is definitely on my bucket list of engines to see

For those who didn't know this; if you've seen the Duke Of Gloucester in the scrapyard, the first thing you'd notice is the very distinct fact she is missing both cylinders. She was the only member of her class built, yet both seem gone for spares. Why is this? [🧵 Thread incoming]

Been to the British motoring museum today and damn, why is this car packing an entire bakery?

this is now my most popular post on tumblr so let's fully appreciate it here too a #commission from joj #art #digitalart #thomasthetankengine #thomasandfriends

To give you an idea on just how big Kerr Stuart Brazils were... London transport turned one into a standard gauge shunter...!

Alright guys I'm ba- .... How did you let her grow MORE of them?!

Hey guys, can watch this cookie I baked until I get back?

We're just kinda dumb here at Bala.

So Alice was an engine on my bucket list to see. Really glad I got to see her. Hopefully I'm still around to see her chuff into Bala proper!

Mostly...

Slightly off topic, but when you're all the way out in the middle of nowhere Wales, the amount of light pollution is next to nill. So it's ideal for star gazing. And it was gorgeous...
