Success in challenging combats is determined by smart usage of synergies between weapons, support items and relics. All that in a western themed space environment. Kick Club (UFO 50) is a soccer ball kicking arcade platformer. One of the best games of the collection imo. But it's also freakin tough. Got Don't Knock Twice as a gift, and I #JustBeatIt. A rather linear horror game that instills fear by creepy sounds and jump scares. Lucky Hunter is an auto battler, where you navigate 3 maps with a boss. Pieces can melt to higher tiers when 3 of them are in line next to each other, giving more shield, more various multipliers or damage. That can lead to Balatro-like damage-satisfaction. #Justbeatit @polykillpodcast.bsky.social

Astral Ascent is one of the best rougelites, and @polykillpodcast.bsky.social I #JustBeatIt incl. the plat. It's comparable to Dead Cells, but the focus lies on spells, which can synergize with various passives, relics and more. Extensive meta progression and gorgeous pixel art make it a unique gem.

Hey @polykillpodcast.bsky.social I played a lore heavy Supergiant game, in which you have to get out of the underworld. Yes it's Ha... ehm, Pyre and I #JustBeatIt. Art style, narration, sound effects and music are great... and familiar. The sports part is fun and the better one for me. Recommended.

On a grid with hexagonic tiles you fight various enemies in turn-based combat. After each fight you can choose a perk. New game modes await. Recommended.
