By ‘eck. This is the product of three hours’ hard graft. Going to need some serious amounts of somat lighter dug in to it. Never encountered soil so heavy and difficult to work!

The great thing about baking bread is being able to mix flours & flavours to taste. 😊 This small one is 50% white, 50% wholemeal & a small sprinkling of garlic powder. 😊 I leave out sugar & put in only half the recommended qty of salt. It rises without any problems & much healthier than shop-bought.

February ‘53 The courage of some small and apparently fragile flowers never ceases to amaze me. There are the little flowers coming up as brave and gay as can be, unaffected by snow or frost. #gardening

I’m a bit thrown by this. Two washing-machine loads, two hours of tumble-drying, a dishwasher load, and vacuum clean of entire house during the ‘free’ window of 3am and 7am, and Octopus thinks I used only 89p? If all of that is only 89p then I’d love to know why our electricity bill is so high.
