Weird. It’s **almost** like there’s a way we could do this. But I just can’t quite remember…

Tomorrow, February 28, let’s disrupt the status quo by spending ONLY at businesses that uplift our communities. That means: 🚫 No gas from corporate giants 🚫 No fast food chains 🚫 No big-box retailers (Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc.)

Keep on keepin’ on y’all.

Walked into my classroom this morning. The democracy poster had fallen on the floor, while the fascism poster held firm to the wall. A sign?

Idiocracy.

So excited to be back with the fam for another year! @retroreport.org #CouncilofEducators

Rest in peace Mr. Turski. Thank you for your bravery, your steadfastness, and the lessons you tried to teach us all. #neverforget

Honestly, I’ve been thinking about the whole “Gulf of America” thing. If we’re being semantically correct, America is the entire continent(s). The United States is “of” America. 1/2

So excited to join this amazing group of educators to help others learn about the awesomeness that is #kamiapp

So much for a full week of school! Just announced: our 8th snowday ❄️ of the year. We get 6 excused automatically, and can request forgiveness of 3 additional. We’re running awfully close to having to make up days 😒

In another timeline, I’m sure I grew up to be a paleoanthropologist. I find this information to be immensely fascinating! apple.news/A4CvIJG2BQVW...

Sack. Sack. Pick six. Oof. #goeagles

I was feeling down and a little lost and more than a little hopeless today about the state of our nation. So I went to the well, and as he once did in person, Professor Schramm reminded me of my why, and our deep and important purpose as Americans. #iykyk #bornamerican ashbrook.org/viewpoint/bo...

Love (not hate) makes America great.

@eduprotocols.bsky.social #FAC for Unit 1 Vocabulary! Looking forward to a great quiz tomorrow!

Breaking news: Jimmy Carter, a no-frills and steel-willed Southern governor who was elected president in 1976, died Sunday at his home in Plains, Georgia, according to his son. He was 100 and the oldest living U.S. president of all time.

Getting ready with my popcorn! 🍿

Congrats to my friends over at @icivics.bsky.social for their #EmmyAward for #wellversed, an animated music video series created in partnership with #Nickelodeon

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens. Don’t think it won’t happen again when they come for the “undocumented.”
