After discovering them several years ago via YouTube, I finally had the chance to see Mnozil Brass last night. What a joyful and skilled performance. We preceded the show with a delightful meal at Blue Orchid. Overall, a great night in Downtown #LNK.

This one's really bad #neleg Write a comment opposing Holdcroft's LB541, which would eliminate online voter reg, restrict registration by mail, require grounds for early voting, and hand counts of ballots (a notoriously less accurate method of vote counting) nebraskalegislature.gov/calendar/hea...

Skype was AMAZING until Microsoft purchased it and began mucking with the very features that made it so useful and popular. Skype is a textbook example of a company not understanding their own product.

New Kenny Chesney lyrics just dropped.

When thinking about year-round Standard Time vs. year-round Daylight Saving Time, consider: the lovely sunrise happening right now would occur a clock hour later (7:45am) if we switch to year-round DST; at 6:45am it still would have been pitch black. #LNK #Nebraska

It looks like Lancaster County's primary election poll worker assignments are coming out. If you have an assignment, be sure to accept/decline it promptly so they can plan accordingly. If you aren't a poll worker yet, why not? Apply here: www.lancaster.ne.gov/347/Election... #LNK

Folks flying Southwest flight 2504 out of #Omaha #Nebraska this morning had a close call in Chicago. I would love to know what it was like inside the cabin. old.reddit.com/r/aviation/c...

As a web developer, my goal isn’t just to build good-looking websites. It’s also to ensure that those same websites are efficient and performant, i.e., that they load as quickly as possible. Here are some of the ways I make that happen.

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

I learned today that Marty Everding has retired from his role as Assistant Coach for #Huskers Soccer. I met Marty around 20 years ago. He always greeted me with a smile and a handshake, and it was a pleasure having him on the sideline. Congratulations on your retirement, Marty, and best wishes!

I came really, REALLY close to getting defrauded just now. An acquaintance's FB account has been taken over by a scammer so everything about it looks legit. Had the scammer been smart enough to tweak one little thing they could have walked away with my $$$.

I didn't wear a coat to walk the dogs this morning. 39 degrees has never felt so good. #LNK

My mom finished this quilt of Sadie's tshirts for me. There are so many memories and feelings in here.

This is my dream.

I just learned, quite by accident, that yesterday was the 500th day since Sadie's death. It's a meaningless milestone, and yet I can't stop thinking about it.

The neighbor's son backed over and destroyed my mailbox. He bought an identical replacement, got my number, contacted me, apologized, asked for permission to repair it, and is repairing it now. That's a young man with strong moral character.

i am beyond delighted to announce to the bluesky world in general (and to unicam heads in particular) that i have located the long-lost gif of ernie chambers elbowing chris beutler off his microphone in the #neleg

It cracks me up when I approach the Capitol's south door, look up, and see Akhnaton, Solon, Solomon, and Julius Caesar wearing goofy snow caps.

My sister turns 50 tomorrow. Fifty! As her brother I am obligated to mark the occasion in a brotherly fashion. Suggestions? I'm all ears!

I'm happy to see that Ignite Lincoln is coming back after its brief flirtation with death. I enjoyed speaking about our foster parenting experiences a few years ago. This year's event is April 17. If you're in #LNK, you should strongly consider attending. ignitelincoln.org/speakers/ign...

I feel like the Jurassic Park sequel "War of the Worlds and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" was underappreciated in its time. #oxfordComma

I dreamt that Omaha was playing Oklahoma in the NCAA volleyball national championship. (The Huskers lost to OU in the semis.) A large group of Husker fans watched a big screen from lawn chairs on a golf course. They chanted "Let's go Omaha / Go home OU".

You know you've dressed properly for a run in weather like this when you start sweating before you've put on the last layer.
