Remember when Taye Diggs followed us all on Twitter?

WHY is there no David Lynch tribute at the #Oscars while we get a James Bond tribute (ugh) and now Quincy Jones tribute (who was legend, yes, but got a full, deserved tribute at the Grammys)?!?! You’d think the FILM awards would save some time for one of the most original, most influential artists

David Lynch forever. #Oscars

Time's a ticking for them to thoroughly honor David Lynch. #oscars

Currently throwing things…

You know what would’ve been a great tribute idea? THE FILMS OF DAVID LYNCH. (Or music! That’s fine, too! There was dancing in his movies! Give us that!) #oscars

Ok Oscars, if you don’t end the In Memorium segment w David Lynch, I’ll be throwing things ….

Where’s Jane Curtin? #SNL50

Let’s go Jordan, Nakobe, Nolan, Kelee, Jalen, Lewis #PhillyDawgs #SuperBowl

Chappel Roan!!!!!!

Just a reminder that there are real human beings, with families, who are having their financial and professional lives turned upside down tonight by the richest man in the world, who has a string of his own families he’s abandoned, and who was not elected to anything.

If you do the Tomahawk Chop, you're a bigot. It's not a debate. You're a racist person doing a racist thing and you're very excited about it. Also I hope your car gets a flat tire.

Dave Chappelle speaking about President Jimmy Carter 🙌🏼 RIP #SNL

So much damn great stuff... Dune, The Elephant Man, Eraserhead, Mulholland Drive, The Straight Story, Eraserhead, and *especially* Blue Velvet. That's not even scratching the surface of Twin Peaks. David Lynch was a real one. We're not likely to see his likes again. May he rest in peace.

David Lynch was one of many disabled people afraid to leave their homes because of fear of contracting Covid. If you are mourning his death today, honor him by wearing a mask everywhere you go.

DAVID LYNCH has passed away. We have lost one of the greatest directors in history, a superlative artist. A unique and timeless cultural figure. Forever in our memory, forever in our hearts. Long live The Greatest.

I wrote about how strange and wonderful it was that the incredible, incredibly strange Twin Peaks briefly dragged David Lynch into the mainstream, and how hard he fought — especially with Twin Peaks: The Return — to do what interested him, and not a potential mass audience:

Thanks to all for your kind remembrances on this awful day. Words will come later. Only feelings at the moment. Mourn and remember him but don’t forget to celebrate too. We won’t see his like again. The man from another place has gone home. #DavidLynch #TwinPeaks

I’ve never looked at traffic lights the same since David Lynch brought this into our brains. RIP Genius

Fix your hearts or die.

😭

And anytime anyone says “OK, here’s the situation” - immediately shouting “my parents went away on a week’s vacation!”

N95 masks protect against wildfire smoke, airborne viruses, and more. They are an essential public health tool. Like condoms and many other public health tools, the government should make N95 masks free and easily accessible to the public throughout the year.

Jason Carter’s eulogy, talking about how Jimmy Carter lived his life with love and respect, was so powerful. It was an excellent tribute to the man he is eulogizing and a needed message for the nation to which he is speaking.

Thank you, Jimmy 🇺🇸❤️

• won the SEC • 3–0 against teams named UT • QB is a baller • record-setting win streaks vs GT, Vols still in play I’m calling it a good season

Let’s go Dawgs!

Watching the “Behind the Music” episode about Milli Vanilli as our first 2025 activity and … winning?

Great 🧵 Also, I will add that 89 MILLION eligible voters just... didn't vote. Stayed home. And it's sure as shit worth trying to figure out why.

Goooooooooooooooo Dawgs!

By request, here is the multicam view of the feed from Times Square, All-22, and ESPN, Georgia, and Ohio State radio calls, as it happened onscreen live:

GO DAWGS!

Jimmy Carter wasn’t anywhere near perfect as a president, but Ronald Reagan beating Jimmy Carter in 1980 is maybe the most consequential modern U.S. election. You can trace much of what most (even Republicans) dislike about this country to Ronald Reagan, his policies, and those sharing his ideology.

BREAKING: Jimmy Carter has died at 100. The 39th president of the United States, who served from 1977 to 1981, was perhaps more famous for the life he led after leaving office — as an advocate for peace and human rights. Read about his lasting legacy.

Crying at the news of the loss of Jimmy Carter. Yes, expected - but hurts just as much as expected. Rest well, dear sir - and bless you. 💔❤️
