They were discussing Mary Poppins on @alltherightmovies.com and they mentioned that ‘A Spoonful of Sugar’ was inspired by one of the composer’s sons getting the polio vaccine in a sugar cube. A bright, cheery, classic song that sprang from the eradication of a horrific disease.

Had a call from an ESB technician yesterday. He’s wrecked and you could hear it in his voice. These technicians have been working around the clock with the help of European engineers. I know it’s irritating without power but the infrastructure failure is down to government blunders.

That high resolution AROME model out to 9am shows gusts I’ve never seen this model show before for Ireland and this model is one of the best there is for Ireland. Anyone saying this is just another storm is in for a rude awakening. This will be an historic storm. #StormÉowyn
