My birthday cake ten years ago in Nara, last year it was a personalized voodoo doughnut of the front cover of one of my books...this year, I have to make cupcakes to share with the pantry.

Hard to believe it was only ten years ago, I was in Nara Japan on my 55th birthday (putting up five fingers). Just after midnight we had an earthquake in my Nara Hotel. The light over table swayed.

We had snow a few weeks ago. It was the first time the boys got to experience the white stuff. I think they were afraid of it, but put on a brave face.

The welder wanted to put my heart on the front of the guitar, and was quite adamant about it, but I reminded him it was about Steve, not me. Besides, it gives people something to discover when walking around the back of it.

I traced a replica of his guitar to make this memorial statue. It was put a bit on someone else's plot, so I had to have it moved ten feet east and redid the stonework around it. I'll try to get new photos of it next week.
