NEW — The National Treasury Employees Union Chapter 282 just emailed its ~8,000 employee members strongly advising them NOT to reply to the “What did you do last week?” email from OPM/Musk.

OPMs email servers trying to hold back all the external troll emails they’re getting in response to DOGE.

What I Accomplished Last Week: 5 Bullet Points for My Boss 1. Pondered the great question of our time (“Who is the administrator of DOGE?????”) 2. Read some court filings that did not reveal the DOGE administrator’s identity 3. Asked Elon Musk to tell me who the administrator of DOGE is (no reply)

Here’s what is going on. When you start firing the military’s top lawyers, that means you are getting ready to order the military to do unlawful things. Trump replaces those JAGs with men who will justify any future unlawful and unethical actions that he wants the military to do.

Are you bored tonight? Send your five accomplishments, maybe your shopping list, or your five thoughts on Elon from the past week to OPM at [email protected].

A 4 Star General, a fighter pilot with 3000 flight hrs, 130 of them in combat. Commands in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Yes. A Black man. Too “woke” for this administration because he thought we’re stronger together: Choose Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility over power mad dividers.

The most notable thing about this clip from the president's address to the governors is the way Maine Gov. Janet Mills stood up to Trump. And the second most notable thing is the absolute stone-faced silence from the other governors in the room. www.c-span.org/clip/white-h...

Just look at these paragraphs from the AP story. Hegseth called Brown unqualified solely because he's Black. Then they fired him... and replaced him with a white guy so indisputably unqualified that he requires a Presidential waiver. This is what "merit" means to them. apnews.com/article/trum...

This is very, very bad. Am working on a write-up, but let’s just say that firing military leaders for blatantly political reasons is wildly inappropriate; firing all the too lawyers is ominous; firing them all at the same time is a terrifying five-alarm fire

Doing this right before firing three top military leaders is so deranged. Source at DoD told me, “Disdain for Hegseth is a near-universal feeling even among the Trumpiest in the office.“

This is how it’s done.

Side note. There are eight members of the joint chiefs. the chair is black. the CNO (navy) is a woman. the other six are white guys. chair and the cno got fired tonight.

Firing all of the JAGs (Judge Advocates General)—the top lawyers in each service branch—is just as bad as, if not worse than, firing (most of) the Joint Chiefs.

Jessica: There was a huge drop in support for President Trump and for Elon Musk. Trump’s approval rating is down 5-7 points across four of these big polls. He’s underwater on managing the economy by 8 points. Did you see those town halls? Rich McCormick were booing him.

Donald Trump resorted to threats against Maine's governor, after they came to verbal blows over the state's compliance with an executive order.

Maine: You have an awesome Governor.

I never thought freedom for Ukraine could be extinguished at the hands of this generation of Republicans. www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb... @msnbc.com

A defining policy battle is about to come to a head in this country. The Republican budget will force everyone - especially Congress and the White House - to make plain whether they are prepared to harm the rest of us in order to fund tax cuts for the wealthiest.

NEW from Gen. Mark Hertling: "When driven by political loyalty, ideological purity, or paranoia, replacing generals can weaken command structures, reduce battlefield effectiveness, and even lead to national security disasters." @markhertling.bsky.social www.thebulwark.com/p/dont-purge...

Here it is! Our full 25 minute interview with former NFL punter Chris Kluwe @chriswarcraft.bsky.social about his decision to tell off his MAGA city council - mic drop after mic dop - and then get arrested following an an act of civil disobedience. youtu.be/Pprrm6TYmZU

Just want to publicly say a BIG thank you to @atrupar.com for all the amazing coverage he provides us with around the world. I appreciate how much effort goes into that. A vital info channel in these very challenging times. 👏👏👏

Gov. Mills: I’ll comply with the state and federal laws Trump: We are the federal law. You better do it because you’re not going to get any federal funds. Gov Mills: See you in court

I’m telling you @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social, please watch this. This is the energy. Not egg prices and book tours and strongly worded letters. It’s time to take the gloves off.

Donald Trump is melting down because his approval rating is tanking. 🍿

Remember: politicians work for YOU. Don’t let them forget that.

🚨NEW: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is planning to fire Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff C.Q. Brown, a 4-Star General and 41-year veteran of the Air Force who flew over 130 hours in combat as a fighter pilot. REPOST if you stand with General C.Q. Brown against Hegseth!

It’s been a long fucking day, I’m tired, and I misspoke. Let me rephrase it in a more correct way. Fuck Hakeem Jeffries and almost every other elected Democratic official for forcing me to be the one to get arrested instead of them doing their goddamn job and being leaders.

This would be completely illegal. But you wouldn’t know that from reading this post, the headline, or the lede. Unbelievably bad.

Republicans just voted it down.

📬🚨 HUGE NEWS 📬🚨 Trump plans to fire the USPS governing board, merge the Postal Service into the Commerce Department. It would disrupt 55 years of non-political mail service, and threatens to upend trillions of dollars of ecommerce and the 250 year-old US mail system.

Senate Republicans just launched an all-night voting spree to rip apart Medicaid and starve kids—all so they can hand more cash to billionaires like Elon Musk. They’re doing this while most people aren’t watching. Absolutely disgraceful.

fucking incompetents and/or malicious... they own every repeat offender who commits police misconduct www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/202...

Hey all my fellow 60+ folks who had many decades of social security contributions deducted from our paychecks but who haven’t hit the retirement age yet… Aren’t you feeling great now that these 19-25 year old racist misogynists have control of YOUR life’s toil?

Trump administration is planning to use polygraphs to assess federal employee loyalty. There are ways to manipulate polygraph results, and we will provide guidance to coalition members. Polygraph results are not admissible in court due to their potential for false positives and negatives.

Trump on civil servants working from home: “Nobody’s going to work from a home. They’re going to be going out. They’re going to play tennis. They’re going to play golf. They’re going to do a lot of things. They’re not working.” Trump 1.0 - 293 golf days, $150m to taxpayers Trump 2.0 - $10.7m

Susan Collins chairs the Senate Appropriations Committee and has the power to push back against the Trump-Musk misuse of federal funds. If you live in Maine and are ... concerned? troubled? worried? ... let her know and let her know often.

As we watch another disastrous Trump presidency wreak havoc on our country and institutions, it's worth remembering what those who have worked closest with Trump say about him 👇 #ResistTrump

I wonder what would happen if @wyden.senate.gov @murray.senate.gov asked GAO to investigate whether DOGE's "receipts" claiming savings amounts to fraud. Honestly, it's the only fraud found so far. www.npr.org/2025/02/19/n...
