Ridiculous.
Revitalizing downtown this way will increase traffic congestion, which increases air pollution.
It means your days are longer and that travel time isn't compensated.
Better idea: allow wfm and monitor people's work. People who aren't performing have to come in to be supervised.

I thought the same thing.

It certainly isn't.
So many parents are begging for help for their child, and either nothing is available or there are long wait lists.

I am wondering if a parent or other family member was there and saw it happen.
I can't even imagine what I would do.

OMG, I had to read that 3 times to make sense of it.
I kept thinking I must have read that wrong.
This is so horrible.

Can't show bias. Gotta hear both sides.
"Why did you rape her?"
"Her skirt was short."
"Well, young lady, why did you wear that short skirt?"
"Why did you annex that country?"
"They had a smaller economy than us."
"Well annexed country, now you're part of a bigger economy. Isn't that better?"

Abuse is not about what the abused does. It is all about the abuser. You can not satisfy an abuser. The only effective thing to do is to cut off all contact.
This is harder to do in this context, but finding new markets and new suppliers either within Canada or overseas is what we need to do.

So, no reporting back to from operations to say it's actually done.
That's a great way to skew your stats to show you're taking care of problems.

I clicked on several, and most showed initiated and resolved within a minute of each other.
I don't know what they consider resolved, but it appears that they are resolving issues before they even hang up the phone.

I was tempted to open windows today, but I just couldn't let the cold in. So I went out in a sweatshirt and broke up some of the ice in the driveway.

Don't think I can get there today. I am virtual shouting at them and wishing them all the horrible things they deserve.

Where are they?
I'll go do a follow-up shout.

I agree that everyone should leave the hellsite, but until they do, I'm not going to judge emergency services for posting there.
The more ways to get info out, the better.
They should have an account here as well.

I think they've had 3 to our 1.
They can't beat us at hockey, but they are all over us in plane crashes.

It's good you're there with her, but what an awful time to have to live in the US.
Stay safe!

And PP wants to defund CBC. That headline alone should convince him they need to stay.

We can just stop killing people cold turkey. We have to wean ourselves off slowly.
Give us another 13 years. We got this.

It might be by design.
If you turn the circuit breaker to your smoke detector off, you no longer have a smoke detector.
One way to make people keep power to the smoke detector is to link it to the fridge.
Quite clever, actually, if it's done on purpose.

I think @girlfriday.bsky.social might be qualified to give advice on living without a fridge.

Smoke detectors. You can't live with them, and you can't live without them.

I once found my missing vegetable peeler in the compost when I was gardening.
The struggle is real.

If that was when you had a toddler, it makes perfect sense.
If it was before he was born, it could only be a poltergeist.
