I came here to nose this morning and noted that someone had DM’d me. As a rule I do not reply to a DM, except in the case when it’s someone I know and have interacted with on other platforms. So if I ignore you it’s not rudeness, but for my own personal security.

I’m already getting dubious followers here, army veterans, doctors, Saudi businessmen etc etc. I vet followers and block them, without hesitation, if I’m not happy with their profile. I’ve a nose like a sniffer dog, so just saying don’t waste your time if you’re dodgy. It’s not happening 😂

A great day yesterday with the writer James Canton looking at 10,000 year old Mesolithic lake eroding onto the beach at Skipsea in North Yorkshire. Research for his new book. The lake deposits have a Bronze Age beaver dam overlying it.

You’re not violating a reading rule if you opt not to finish a book that's not resonating with you. Life is finite and we thus have a finite number of books to read. Reading shouldn’t be a chore. You needn’t feel guilty for ensuring that your time reading is spent reading things that you love.
