Lots of scaly buddies coming out now. This big chucky (Chuckwalla) looks fearsome but they don't even bite.

Great day with these smart fit and fun folks.

Returned to The Black Hole this morning. 5.8, 9-, 9+, and 10a. Fell on the 5.10, rested & shook out. Lowered to last stance and lead to the chains. That's how you win and lose at the same time.😬

Climbing in the 1980s: "Hope this cam's good. Grounder from here!" Climbing now: "Hope I don't Z-clip. Last bolts about about at my harness" I like it way better now!😁

These guys come to the Red Rocks National Conservation Area every Oct. They set up 6 or 8 high lines (hilines?) I'm pretty sure anyone with the right gear is welcome. Longest line is approx 500 meters!

Great day full of climbing in 3 hours!😂 Pic is Scott of Scott & John whom we've run into at other crags. Eric the chill-est and skill-est guide joined those two as Bob, Jay, Jessie & I packed up and ran from the sun and the crowds. Good climbing in good company!

My life partner is my climbing partner. She makes the world a better place. Every day

Crazy perfect weather today at private lands with, so far, public access. Hope it stays that way!

Jessie belaying, Jack climbing and Shooter Girl chilling. Lone Mountain, Cheap Beer crag. Another limestone day to let the sandstone dry out. Wish everyone would!

Guardian Angel pass is a steep class 3 (tiny bit 4) hike that my 12 yr old doggy loved. She's in recovery mode now. No one Jessie or I have found knows anything about the origin of the angel carving. I'd love to know who how and when?

Great people make for good times!

Webbing with water knots was pretty common for slinging gear in the 80s. Now it's my buddy's wall art.

The high desert. Tried, but can't live anywhere else.

World's greatest Girlfriend checks off another one. Secret crag close to Vegas. Developers request, & climbers won't put it on Mountain Project. So many people at Red Rocks during the season! What do any climbers from crowded areas think about keeping routes "unpublished"??

Big sister & I photo'ed by best girlfriend in the world while hiking Kraft Mountain loop last week.
