Wrote a draft of a little poem yesterday. Today, instead of forcing myself to grade more than what I had planned, I wrote quite a bit of what will be on the next Widely Read update (widely-read.ghost.io). Feels nice to claim my time for things that help me feel more human.

I dont like the word skills to describe how learning recreates new pathways in your brain and makes your soul heavier, harder to remove and how it opens your heart to the possibility of human connections. Skills just isnt the word.

I've been thinking about this a lot too. He can afford to take a progressive stance because he has billions. But he is taking a progressive stance while other billionaires are lining up to lick the boot of fascism. So, that makes me drawn to him more. That being said, no more billionaires please.

I dont know enough specifics to agree or disagree here but this feels right. And i liked it a lot. I also feel like the Socialist Party was making some solid strides last year and had excellent canidates overall. So I feel like maybe there are legit 3rd parties that can make a difference.
