Beautiful to read; beautiful to see my doctor’s name among the co-authors.

Donald Trump’s executive order targeting gender-affirming care is illegal and deeply hurtful, so I'm suing to end it. I will not stand by and let Trump weaponize the federal government against young people trying to be themselves and against doctors providing the best care they can.

POV: home with my disabled child looking at my wife's labs as she lays in a hospital bed begging the nurse to get imaging of her chest cuz I’m begging her to beg, & the nurse making excuses to avoid putting in the order all night. This morning the CT they finally gave her found clots in both lungs.

My thoughts on the new Hechinger Report article re: Inclusion. “Equal academic performance is not a reasonable goal across Special Education and shouldn’t be the measure of successful inclusion. However, successful inclusion could be a measure of academic integrity.” tinyurl.com/483wer9k

Any other autistics just so bored of this vaccine-autism misinformation campaign? Like, this busted ass old thing again? Really?

Include disabled people in your resistance planning. In many ways we’re built for resistance, as we have to find creative and sustainable ways to survive every single day. This is the time for intersectionality and community care. We need to work together and save one another.

Can we talk about the Grammys a little bit more? Just another day or two, then I’ll get right back to the dystopia doom feed-o-matic, I swear.

Sometimes I write on that other place.

New EO this evening pertaining to K-12 Ed. I have reached out to the Chair of my Board, the office of our Supt, and leadership of our educators’ union. Let’s go. www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

1. Getting word that we have another anti-trans EO tonight, this time targeting teachers. It directs the federal government to work with state AGs to put teachers who use trans kids pronouns in jail through "sexual exploitation" laws or "practicing medicine without a license." From a RW source:

I don’t know all the details of the litigation over the past years, but this outcome is a heartbreaking atrocity and does not seem to be the will of the majority of this body’s constituency. For shame. www.kare11.com/article/news...

Classic deli tuna macaroni salad with candied jalapeño relish mixed in. Can recommend.

Kids are such great comrades when you forget what you’re even fighting for anymore.

My Medicaid WAIVER funds disability support services in my home and community, which I receive having WAIVED my right to an institutional placement funded by the state. If state and federal cuts to Medicaid and disability service are substantial, I won’t be able to WAIVE that right any more.

In a major victory for Minnesota House Democrats, the state Supreme Court ruled that 68 House members must be present for a quorum, which means the lower chamber has had no official proceedings during a Democratic boycott.

Minnesota SF 507 protects access for parents with disabilities and parents requiring linguistic assistance in their children’s IEP process. tinyurl.com/yuunu8c8

I get that we need to stay aware, but a couple national politics news pit stops a day is good for me, what else y’all got?

Being wildly unpopular for being extremely effective is SUCH an autistic mood.

Again, if you need actions at the community level (and you do), here.

Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce. Bear with me for a second while I try to explain.

I'm gonna live to outlive this malignancy, and even if they live in its shadow my kids have their whole lives ahead of them with the next four years in the rear view. It's not choosing escapism or ignorance to focus on building a bridge to *that* world starting today.

I sometimes talk about patterns in our processing or our sensitive, multi-dimensional sensory processing systems. But honestly when caregivers of newly identified kids ask me what they should know, the first thing I say is that we get tired and need a lot of time for recovery. True for most all.

It can be hard to find information on gender affirming care in language that is easy to understand. We’ve got you covered with our resource “A Self-Advocate’s Guide to Gender Affirming Health Care,” available in plain language and Easy Read:
