Book bans impact public libraries & bookstores, but it’s school libraries where they are rampant ❤️‍🩹 Many kids are unable to make it to the public library. They can’t drive, often times the library isn’t in walking distance. It’s not that their grown-ups don’t want them to be library kids. 🧵 1/11

Last night, a woman in my book signing line told me this… A reader & a fan of my work, she was currently between homes. Back at the register, she couldn’t afford a copy of DEATH OF THE AUTHOR. Someone in line behind her stepped up & bought her a copy.🥹 A reminder of what TRULY makes America great.
