Time. Today, chess taught me that the difference between me being smart and being dumb is about 5 minutes. I can play well in a 15/10 game*, but in a straight 10 minute game, I feel like I lose 30 IQ points.

Today, I participated in my first online tournament and I placed 11th out of 85, even though I missed one of the five rounds because nature called, so I'm feeling pretty spiffy.
