#NeZha2 rules so hard and is superior to the first in pretty much every way. Bigger scope and worldbuilding, a more engaging story, and amazing action sequences. First half is solid despite some juvenile/gross out humor but the second half....SO EPIC. Wish I saw this in IMAX.

#LastBreath was the #AMCScreenUnseen and it's a pretty decent survival thriller. Has some genuine suspense and solid performances. Not as much depth (no pun intended) as similar films of this ilk and the score is a little overbearing. Still worth a watch.

#TheMonkey is a far campier and more self-aware horror film than I anticipated, and it doesn't always 100% succeed for some of the humor can feel a bit forced. It's held together by some gnarly Final Destination-esque kills and a committed duel performance by Theo James. Entertaining enough.

In a weekend that gave us a new Captain America film, a new Paddington film, and a sci-fi action flick starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Miles Teller, I didn't think my favorite movie of the bunch would be the new Bridget Jones; yet here we are. Real shame this didn't go to theaters.

#PaddingtonInPeru is another fun-filled adventure with the marmalade loving bear even if it's a big step down from the first two films. The magic of Paul King and Sally Hawkins (no offense to Emily Mortimer) are sorely missed but it's not without its charm. Olivia Colman as always is a highlight.

#CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld has solid performances (Carl Lumbly FTW!), good individual scenes, and a promising start. But the story isn't very compelling, the politics feel half-assed, and some of the green screen is just laughable. Even the much teased Red Hulk left much to be desired.

#HeartEyes is a fun self-aware slasher/romcom with bloody kills, a cheeky tone, and cute solid chemistry between Olivia Holt and Mason Gooding. By no means a gamechanger in either genre but a good time nonetheless.
