Clair Obscur is pretty consistent with its listed inspirations + some obvious modern ones. It's pretty great so far. I think if you write anything like 'unlike other turn based rpgs, this o-' you should be put in the stocks and have coffee grounds and tomatoes tossed at you

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a GotY contender solely for having a battle system where, through sheer skill and patience, you can defeat an optional superboss without taking a single point of damage and immediately gain so much EXP that you shoot way past the level the game expects you to be.
