Unironically, Russia truly believes Ukraine is a US puppet that follows Washington’s orders. This isn’t just propaganda - it’s their genuine belief. So they try to appease Trump and Vitkoff, hoping they’ll hand over Ukraine, not realizing the US has limited leverage in Ukraine

We at the Beaverton promise that, had we been afforded the same absurdly preferential treatment as Rebel News, we would have shut down the post-debate scrums TWICE as quickly and disgracefully.

Because cyclists aren’t taxpayers and citizens who also need roads to get from A to B apparently.

It should probably bother Americans that their country now regularly votes at the UN only with hellish kleptocratic wastelands wherein torture is systemic and that openly seek to destroy the US. Belarus, Russia, North Korea, United States..not even China goes this low.

Literally like half of the questions are going to disinformation spewing grifter outlets who are using it as an opportunity to spew absolute bullshit under the guise of asking questions. Great work, leaders debate.

Six Conservative MPs, including the party's deputy leader, disclosed last year they personally invested in companies related to Brookfield Corp., despite attacking Liberal Leader Mark #Carney for his work chairing one of its spinoff companies. #cdnpoli #elxn2025 www.cbc.ca/news/politic...

Just so we’re clear, everybody calling Kilmar Abrego Garcia a “terrorist” or a “gang member” are lying, and they know they’re lying, and they repeat it for purposes of confusing people who don’t follow this stuff closely into accepting what was done to him.

I don't think this is going to change anyone's mind but Neil Young endorsing a corporate banker for Prime Minister is a thing that happened today.

CANADIAN REPORTER: Trump's tone on Canada has shifted. He stopped talking about Canada becoming the 51st state. LEAVITT: I would reject that the president's position on Canada has shifted. Perhaps he just hasn't been asked about it. He believes Canadians would benefit from becoming the 51st state.

"I had enough strength. And then there was the adrenaline. When it's in you, you can do things you couldn't do before." 13-year-old Kiril Illiashenko, who helped people escape from a burning bus in Sumy yesterday, is still in the hospital.

Russian terrorist attack in Sumy, Ukraine today, Palm Sunday. Latest: 31 killed including 1 child, a further 84 injured. It is impossible not to conclude that Putin has been emboldened by Trump. This, just hours after Witkoff’s disgraceful pandering to Putin. (🎥 Euromaidan)

Go figure ... Looks like the 15,000 people who attended a conservative rally in Edmonton didn't really happen. I love how the crowd expert says "it's just not possible" and then shares a photo of what 15,000 people in a packed area looks like. Smh 🙄 www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

So I think the media (and bluesky) is a good barometer of the institutional and liberal response to Trump. But this video is a good window into the IRL/normie popular response. youtu.be/DwMzCjibxT4?...

The only way Donald Trump is going to get people to flock to the streets cheering for him is to start the parade in this:

We often fear the future, the unknown. But a true warrior faces forward, confident that their strength and honor will help shape that future. Why should someone who carries their own light ever be afraid of the dark?

If Canada is looking for nation-building projects that improve affordability, enhance reliability, reduce our reliance on the US, and set us up for the future, don’t have to look much further than interprovincial transmission. By me and Philippe Dunsky: www.theglobeandmail.com/gift/fe4f74c...

I don't think people realize that in important respects tariffs are now higher & more inflationary than what was announced on last Wednesday. Since then we've gone from 54% to 125% on China, our 3rd largest trading partner. That outweighs delaying the increases on 70+ others.

Remember, there is no plan. Only an endless stream of dominance plays that work, or don't. As soon as one's over it's on to the next. Wrote this back in January and it's still just as true. open.substack.com/pub/stewartp...

Incredibly, in his abrupt reversal on trade policy, Trump seemingly just *increased* tariffs on Mexico and Canada to 10%. Until today, the U.S. has only had 25% tariffs on Canadian steel, aluminium, and autos, plus 10% on energy and potash. (With the caveat that it's 0% for USMCA-compliant trade.)

So, just to recap, Trump's tariffs: -Were reciprocal for other nations' tariffs -Ok, were actually reciprocal for non-tariff barriers -Nevermind, they're about closing trade deficits -Aren't negotiable -Ok, ARE negotiable, but only for cash -nevermind back to 10% across-the-board

Well the good news is, we’re roughly on track for the timeline of the overall Star Trek mythology, where in 2026 humanity tries to annihilate itself, but in 30 yrs someone in a post-apocalypse village invents warp drive and it saves us all The bad news is, you know, we get the annihilation part

The picture comes into focus AB gov took ownership of public hospitals from AHS so these public assets can be used by private surgeons’ corporations under new funding model Public assets in the service of private profits This will only destabilize hospitals further www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

And a Sunday read - my latest column from @albertaviews.bsky.social - on the lessons Canadians, and especially Albertans, can learn from Ukraine, as we steel our resolve before the chorus of Quislings and appeasers who want to undermine our country’s sovereignty. #cdnpoli #Ukraine #Trump #abpoli

While Republicans hide, Cory Booker shows up and gives his constituents a voice. Who’s cutting onions?

Your child is more likely to die from measles than get beat by one of their trans peers in an athletic competition, and I wish our government's actions would reflect that.

My thoughts on the self-destructive approach of Western Conservatives during this federal election campaign. open.substack.com/pub/drjaredw...

As Alberta’s Premier takes a victory lap, Ontario sees one of its largest auto plants shutdown for 2 weeks due to 25% tariffs

-10% tariffs on oil/gas -25% auto, steel and aluminum tariffs -indication Trump will tariff other “strategic” areas, one of which is lumber A rando low-level subnational politician has no influence on any of it. This is why conservatives are blowing a 25pt lead. Delusional, the lot of them.
