The most challenging short story I've written yet is finally complete. It's a historical-fic horror and sits 23 words under the 10k limit. With one more comb-through I can finally submit it...and only 2 days before the deadline!

Got around to reading vol. 7 of Split Scream and was pleasantly surprised. The stories are paired so well together with themes of nature's duality: beauty & destruction. The protagonists are similar where it almost feels like the stories flow one into another, yet... (1/3)

With Amazon Kindle (partially) imploding, I'm hoping this will lead some authors & publishers to offer ebooks via their own websites rather than Amazon exclusivity. Piracy may be a concern with PDF's, but real ownership matters to consumers more than you might think.
