Last night at about 2AM, my family and I woke up to bangs on the door from the Pennsylvania State Police after an arsonist set fire to the Governor’s Residence in Harrisburg.

Should Democrats attend (definitely no ovation!) Trump’s speech tomorrow night? At first, I felt like breaking the norm was going to start an irreconcilable divide between parties. But there are no norms anymore. The traditions are gone. They should have a town hall on the Capitol steps instead.

Journalists should report the truth the way this judge laid it out.

Are the Senators and Representatives just letting their phone message mailboxes fill up? I’ve tried to let them know how horrified I am by cutting funds for medical research (among so many other things) but can’t get through.

So after this past couple of weeks, I’m wondering if there is a point to having committee hearings on Cabinet nominees? No straight answers, passing candidates that are loaded with baggage, some obviously disqualified. Why even bother?

Did not realize this address from Trudeau was going to be aimed at us

how, specifically, does freezing research dollars hurt your state's economy? link for deets by state. keep in mind this is separate from all the other programs that support public schools, provide food for kids, supplies for hospitals, equipment for infrastructure. www.faseb.org/science-poli...

It's critical that Congress focuses the fight over the *power* of funding programs not *which* programs to fund. It is unconstitutional for the executive to not fund a program even if it's not politically costly to the executive to do so

@warren.senate.gov, who asked RFK Jr. 175 questions in a 34-page letter, follows that shock-and-awe with a letter to DOGE chair Elon Musk suggesting "over 30 ways to cut at least $2 trillion" in government spending. Not sure he's going to like them, but I do.🙂 www.warren.senate.gov/imo/media/do...

All the nominees and a little blurb about each. Thanks @pbs.org www.pbs.org/newshour/pol...

I’m enjoying music more than podcasts right now. I use and love my old iPod but it’s full. How do I listen to music all day without using my phone? I have CDs and a turntable (which is how old I am) but I really, really want a dedicated device that plays music all day. What do I do?

Did a talk on journalism to undergraduates. Learned very interesting stuff about how youngsters consume and interpret information, and how they judge the news media (trigger alert for any journalists out there whose core belief is that we're important). 1) Gen Z/Alpha doesn't think about the news
