Just got back from my first real visit to LA. It’s true what they say. It’s a wild place with a lot of temptation and trouble just waiting to find you. When I envision a utopian #startrek future, that place is pretty much the exact opposite. 😁

Just a reminder that even though things aren’t looking super optimistic in the larger world around us, we can cultivate at least some temporary peace in our own space and in our minds. Peasants under some of the most brutal lords in history found temporary peace in meditation. You can too. ❤️

I just got back from Jamaica. 🇯🇲 It was lovely there. 🥰 What always intrigues me when I visit places that are called “developing countries,” or places that have “crime warnings” placed on them, is how much happier the people seem than Americans. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe “wealth” isn’t everything?

This reality we find ourselves in is not logical. The rich were already obscenely wealthy back when the US was #1 in the world in living standards in 1970. They still chose to ruin our quality of life and tear our society apart just so they could have a little bit more. Greed is a pathology.
