Enjoying myself immensely at my first ConVocation this year. Went to a great class yesterday on mask work, and today I'm really looking forward to one about song magic. Also helped my friend Sara Mastros run Kabbalat Shabbat last night. #witchsky #jewsky

I'm going to guess Mr. Pence didn't notice it before. That's being charitable, but I appreciate anyone who's willing to speak truth to power, especially when an obvious fascist is in the White House. Still not a fan of Pence, but can't deny he's got guts and understands civics.

A quote from the X-Files that feels relevant lately: "There is an ancient Indian saying, that something lives only as long as the last person who remembers it. My people have come to trust memory over history. Memory, like fire, is radiant and immutable. -1-

A dad joke I thought of a few years ago: What do you call a vampire professor? . .. ... .... ..... Curricula. Feel free to throw... wait, not eggs. Too expensive right now. Feel free to throw rotten apples. I know this one is terrible.

Nixon thought so too. He was wrong then and he's still wrong now.

Just when I thought I couldn't be horrified by any new and different Israeli atrocities...

I can scarcely believe that drivel like this article still gets published. The headline itself is logical fallacy: The idea that you have to hate dogs because you love cats, or vice versa, is a textbook false dichotomy. If you think cats are aloof and unfriendly, you've never met one who likes you.

A random thought I had while browsing dating profiles online: One person's thought-terminating cliche is another person's mantra. "It is what it is" might be the iconic example of this. #Taoism #Zen and probably Buddhism too, but I don't know as much about it, so no hashtag

This is going to be my first long series of posts. The topic is my speech for our coven's annual Valentine's Day ritual. We do a symposium, based on Plato's Symposium. You can make a speech about love, read love poetry, or sing a love song. This was our 4th. #witchsky #pagansky #valentinesday -1-

That would be a good way to hasten their eventual breakup. Obviously they can't both hog the spotlight forever.

The AARP is the largest lobbying group in this country. This was a very stupid move.

That would be sweet

Badass. There's that John Sheridan energy that I asked for, a few days ago. More please. Relatedly, if you've never seen Babylon 5, now is a great time to start. It has important things to say about fascist coups, and how a loyal military officer should respond to them.
