One more thing on this: if you need their IRS data to find them and deport them, you are saying you can't find them because they're not in your system any other way. Which means you're admitting they're not criminals, they're working, and they're paying taxes, and you want to get rid of them anyway.

"User-hostile design" isn't just ads and hard-to-find cancel buttons. App devs have learned they don't profit from adding features users say they want—they make money by analyzing usage patterns, then adding features to maximize "engagement" (YOUR time/energy spent in the app). The thing is, you can replace “cruel” in this sentence with funny, artistic, thoughtful, thoughtless, compassionate, greedy, kinky, creative, or any of 1000 other adjectives. Why are so many of us only able to see us as exceptional in our faults?
