Can anyone who was part of the Gender and Sexuality Alliance or wrote for Radical Deviance get in touch?

This update would appear to be incompatible with trans people’s rights under the ECHR, given the attempt to force trans people into spaces inappropriate for them. That appears to me to be a potential breach of Articles 3, 8 and 14 of the Convention. www.equalityhumanrights.com/media-centre...

This is particularly good for people outside of the UK, gives a lot more context and explains its relationship to global politics.

Avowedly trans-friendly businesses in Bristol. Go Bristol!! More like this everywhere please. www.bristol247.com/lgbtq/news-l...

Have you seen the news? NHS communication barriers are in the headlines. SignHealth and @rnid published the report yesterday, make sure you check it out - signhealth.org.uk/in-the-news/... #WhereIsOurAccess #StillSickOfIt

Are you a deaf BSL user and looking for a job? Need help writing a CV? Thanks to @churchillfship.bsky.social , we've put together BSL resources for job seekers, workers and HR departments.  Check out the playlist - https://f.mtr.cool/zafwxiqwdc #DeafJobs

1400+ writers, journalists, comedians and actors have signed an open letter supporting trans people since last week's shitty supreme court judgment docs.google.com/document/d/1... We need stuff like this, people publicly saying "nope, not in our name".

“Surely nobody wants to live in a society where we don’t support Disabled people to live with dignity.” Excellent new BMJ Opinion piece on #DisabilityBenefits cuts by Fazilet Hadi from Disability Rights U.K. #WelfareNotWarfare tinyurl.com/22r339jy

Sorry, but I have a 100% blanket refusal to accept any welfare conditionality for disability benefits. Fraud rate: 0%. Terrorised claimants. Hundreds of thousands desperate for non-existent back-to-work support. Conditionality isn’t needed. It harms. #WelfareNotWarfare

PIP assessments are not suitable for determining work capability.

Want to contact your MP about the Supreme Court ruling? @transsolidarity.bsky.social has created an MP letter template to help get you started docs.google.com/document/d/1... 🙂💪

Do you teach undergraduate psychology programs? Would you be interested in helping us to better understand the competences that undergrad psychology students gain through their studies? If so, please consider completing our survey - full information is available here: https//shu.co1.qua...

Another brilliant article I would add to this list is this collaborative piece on oral history and Section 28 - several of its contributors highlight the parallels between the demonisation of LGBTQ+ people in the 1980s and 90s and the relentless persecution of the trans community today.

Thread on why What Three Words isn't fit for purpose in an emergency, I would also have this problem as a dyslexic and there are lots of us:

Disabled women know far too well what it is to fall outside society’s definition of womanhood. Wednesday’s UK ruling on “biological sex,” and its knock-on social-behavioural effects, will affect anyone with a perceivably non-normative bodymind. open.substack.com/pub/cripoire...

🚨Over 1,000 have signed our Letter on #DisabilityBenefits cuts! "Decades of research tells us poverty does not motivate — it crushes hope and erodes both physical and mental health." Together, we’re building pressure — in Parliament, in the press, and beyond. Pls sign+share✍️ tinyurl.com/2tvfvzft

Equalities Minister Statement Following on from the statement by the “equalities minister” today. All LGBTQ and other minorities should show the government how they feel and vote for the parties that support our rights (Greens or LibDems) as a start. Only way they will understand is losing seats🩷

Looks like we're facing a head-on collision with EU law in respect of Wes Streeting's ideological opposition to the legitimacy of trans existence. www.thegist.ie/the-gist-tra...

Next Saturday, 6pm Birmingham stands for trans rights AIDS and HIV memorial, Hurst Street 6pm @bcu-ucu.bsky.social @birminghamucu.bsky.social @birminghamtuc.bsky.social #TransRightsAreHumanRights

I am being serious, cis people wearing these in toilets would do such a massive amount to help trans people right now.

We have over 800 signatures in just 70 hours! Our coalition — clinicians, researchers, carers, and most importantly, disabled people — will help the public and Parliament see how dangerous these cuts would be. Every signature adds weight. Thank you so much. ✍️ Please sign: tinyurl.com/yw8bzmxr

I'm sure someone has already said this more eloquently, but autistic folks who don't pay taxes are still valuable human beings, and people with criminal records should still not be disappeared to foreign extra judicial prison sites. Inherent human worth is the hill.
