And it’s Arthurian April Day 17! And it’s about Anna Pendragon. And she happens to be the narrator of Book I, Queen of None, in my Queens of Fate series. youtu.be/5WwJjKp9k5k?...

I am down to the last 1000 words of my book draft and writing about hair workers, makers in the #c19th who were skilled in the art of sentimental jewellery. They wove & braided hair as memorials to loved ones, part of mourning etiquette. Mid c19th dresses @metcostume.bsky.social #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡

Both surgeries were successful! I'm back home and beginning 2 months recovery. It will be a few weeks before the final results come back to confirm I'm clear, but I'm doing well for the moment. Thank you so much for all the well wishes and support!

Made the mistake of posting on Threads. Won’t be doing that again.

I hate this cartoon evil timeline.

Vanilla-rhubarb yogurt: heaven.

Neurodivergent people are inherently worthy and deserving of care, dignity, and respect, no matter their perceived value to a capitalist dystopia.

One more sleep until home. Jonesing for my bed, my family, my garden, real bad.

And here we are finally. #arthurianapril Morgan le Fay! Or, Morgen as I like to call her. Wise woman, healer, seductress, crone? All and then some. youtu.be/lkHJow-qFu4?...

The internet where I'm staying is... well, piss poor. No other way to describe it. Taking like 30 minutes to upload a 9 minute video. Reminds me of the good ol' days.

Just recorded the entirety of my Arthurian April post accidentally IN SLOW MO. 😑

I have sufficiently smelled all the perfumes at a delightful nearby shop IN A GROCERY STORE.

TFW your boss (me) is a medievalist in the corporate world: Boss: "Don't make me talk about eel rents again."

This is where your Harry Potter money goes

Well, look there: another Arthurian April post. This time about everyone’s favorite incarcerated 15th century novelist: Sir Thomas Malory! (Also? Thank goodness for good hair days. I’d like to give a shout out to Swiss water.) youtu.be/2e0OKFM7NsA?...

IT IS OFFICIALLY RELEASE DAY FOR— 🍃🌬️🏰A Palace Near the Wind 🏰🌬️🍃 —a big thank you to everyone who made this book possible from start to finish 😭🤍 @titanbooks.bsky.social

I’m finally going to tackle Sir Thomas Malory for today’s Arthurian April post and gor blimey I’d forgotten how wild all that is!

I know it’s a little late, but celebrating #ArthurianApril by reading Queen of Fury by @natania.bsky.social !

I am more than a little pleased with myself for doing 14 Arthurian April videos.

So it's really important that you take rests. I feel like I've done nothing but talk about this for about a decade and I think that's because it's true and also because the last few years in particular have brought my own sincere need for much better self care into sharp relief.

Quote with your favorite villain (as if there was any doubt).

I don’t always look bedraggled in my Arthurian April posts! See? Today I discuss what would have been my PhD thesis: Sir Palamedes! youtu.be/HiiJOpZ8_68?...

I know my perfume tastes can run a little unusual, so I try to keep travel fragrances to a comfortable and more agreeable set. Neroli and Vanilla almost never go overboard, or a soft rose. Eau de Sens from Diptyque is today’s choice.

May, indeed, get dumplings shortly.

I want dumplings.
