Don’t know what this says about me, but on my way to work I imagined a giant severed hand with some of the forearm (all together approximately two city buses or 131.2 average bananas in length) falling from the sky and smashing a lovely little house next to me. Two words. I wrote two words on my WIP yesterday. I did a lot of other things too, but not a lot of writing. I like them two words, they fit the sentence very well and I’m not sure if I would have found those two words on any other day. So perhaps, yesterday was just meant to be a two word day.

40 minutes, that’s what I was able to squeeze out of yesterday for writing. I could have done more, but I didn’t, and that’s ok… right? Of course it is, it has to be. I will do more today, maybe.

I need a good writing session, the kind where you have an idea and execute on that idea so well that you are a bit mentally exhausted after and feel a small swell of pride, followed by the uncertainty of whether you can replicate such quality ever again… But you still try each time.
