Listening to the usual garbage on BBC Nations pod, with the three stooges, English, GRO & Jones. Russell is getting it in the neck for not taking points when on offer. Remind me what the criticism of Scotland was very recently? That’s right - they took the points rather than went to corner. FFS…🙄🤦

Tadhg Beirne been giving lessons?

Eva Donaldson has been nominated for the RPA 15 under 23 this month 😍. You can vote at the link below therpa.co.uk/15-under-23/

Apparently, after Sco game, Will Stuart now a nailed on Lion & test starter. That’s despite struggling all game. Hasn’t it occurred to any Eng pundit that a referee so abjectly bad in every other area, probably didn’t know the scrum well either?! Wonder how they’ll pedal this back after rounds 4&5…?

Me neither. 🤷‍♂️

One of England’s key deficiencies is undoubtedly their inability to create tries. While that’s not solely down to Fin S, it IS a key part of their role. Fin S can do that at club level, but with different players (and more time) to play with. We still don’t yet know whether FS is a test level Ten…

Huge two weeks now for Ireland, and especially Sam Prendergast who has been quite rightly lauded for his performances to date, but had several of his key weaknesses exposed by Wales - and crucially with two weeks to prepare, advertised in big letters to a hungry, powerful France team.

Chieka to Wales feels about right.

Suspect like many Sco supporters, given injuries I hadn’t expected the team to do much this 6N - not even beat Eng! But while I appreciate Ire rotated some key players, watching Wales have a real go against the Champions - (unlike Sco…), made it probably the harder of the two results to accept.

Some remarkably defensive articles written by Eng rugby press. No doubt winning ugly is better than losing pretty (It’s pro sport!) But claiming Eng are winning because of structured kicking, is nonsense. Eng=861m, Sco=762m. Eng routinely failed to profit from kicks. It’s confused, not controlled.

Interesting read on Ireland, and how their mirroring of Leinster aids their preparation - and now perhaps defines their change in style too. If accurate it then while it gives Ire an edge in continuity, it begs the question whether also gives Test Coaches more material to analyse & exploit?

Hadn’t expected much from ‘For the Love of Rugby’. But hearing Cole & Youngs argue Sione aside this was as good as Sco gets - while ignoring all missing Forwards & talking up Eng’s more powerful pack, is surely as low as this week’s efforts get? Basically, ‘Eng won because they’re more physical’ 🙄🤦

Pretty comical reading Torygraph writer Oliver Brown’s article on ‘battle of the Fin(n)s’. Arguing Fin Smith won emphatically. He barely did anything other than tackle all game. He just happened to have a comparatively easy, late kick that proved key 3 points. Thankfully, Brown is a well known idiot

That was essentially a first choice Eng squad. Yet only narrowly edged a Sco squad missing 7/8 first choice players from their 23. It’s remarkable to then see rugby reporters pen articles casually elevating Eng players ahead of their Sco peers. Fin Smith only made about 15 passes all game…

Some positives for Italy. But also a lot of tough lessons to take away. France looked suitably recovered following their awful showing vs England.

The referee prevented Russell setting up his kick and forced him a further 2 metres wide. Anyone who has ever kicked from those angles knows two metres is HUGE.

For anyone still wondering why Russell took his kick further wide than the point Duhan scored, it was because that idiot Brousset forced him to. Russell was setting up to kick in line with the score. The referee then forced Russel to stop & move further wide. There’s camera footage showing it happen

Hope this result encourages Fabby G to go 7-1 vs Scotland on the final week!

I hope we respond to losing a game at Twickenham that we should easily have won as well as France are right now. #ITAvFRA

Italy need a reset here. France have worked them out.

Woke up. Logged on. Saw that picture of Itoje killing Scotland ruck 5 metres out - and being allowed to do it by a referee two metres away, rather than being Yellow Carded for killing quick ball. Logged back off again. Pointless. Truly one of the worst referees in the game right now.

Barre skipping through that Italian defence like Bambi on ice.

Thunderous handoffs!

Come on, Italy. Stay in this - you’ve got this one!

Losing to England May at least prompt some change in the Scotland lineup. Cam Henderson, Hutch, Burke, Brown, (several others?) to start/bench?
