Sunday morning, found this treasure "that speaks for itself..." www.craftliterary.com/2024/11/08/a...

What a beautiful, gut-wrenching tale about love! Loved reading this, many congrats @cuylermeade.bsky.social !

There are currently just six votes separating the top six in the voting for the "People's Prize" - not sure it could be much closer! Have you voted yet? You've got until 15:00 GMT on 31st Jan to have your say.

when dark days fall upon us darker than the stories in a magazine about Death (because these are real) we look for tiny, bright things in the gloom to sustain us for our team, that is an uptick in the # of patrons backing us these last few days thank you 🖤 may you also find tiny, bright things

"...take off the top of your skull like a hat and take a bow in front of an exorcist who could cast out whatever’s eating away at the insulation in your brain..." Sometimes, a piece just speaks to you on a really personal level. This from @suzannehicks.bsky.social hit me somewhere deep down.

This is such a moving, chilling piece. The end is haunting. So many beautiful micros, well-deserving of the shortlist! Congrats @sharontelfer.bsky.social!

Thank you so much @intrepidusink.bsky.social !!! Super, super excited for this opportunity 😍

"AI" creative writing looks passable to people who don't look at writing all day long. To editors, it pops out like a sore thumb. LLMs are glorified predictive text machines and they predict, well, predictably. PS: if you submit an "AI" story, the editor WILL remember you, and not in a good way.

Oh this is great, share with yr networks!!

Good luck to all those going further! Didn’t make the shortlist but feel pretty good that I got this far :) Thanks #welkinmini ! looking forward to reading all the stories!

Good resistance news: An 'Achilles heel' discovered in antibiotic resistant bacteria. Scientists in Canada found the critical vulnerability: bacteria need zinc. Deprive them of the nutrient & their stability is disrupted making them susceptible to antibiotics again www.genengnews.com/topics/infec...

Beyond thrilled to have made the #WelkinMini longlist! 🥳
