My favorite local pupuseria has been keeping their front door locked during business hours because masked ICE kidnappers have been patrolling the neighborhood. Whole areas of LA are in lockdown. It's devastating. All the stores and even the doctor's offices and churches have these posters up.

Asset limits are punitive and outdated and also all the other states still have them for elderly and Disabled people on Medicaid. And in most of those states it's still $2k. I know because that's me where I am.
