“In a culture increasingly driven by crisis—a culture obsessed with urgency, drama, and overstimulation—I’m beginning to suspect that the question we should ask is: What if we’re being trained to drown?” www.nedlunn.com/2025/02/28/i...

Grateful for any able to share this post being advertised as widely as possible. Might it be for someone you know? Will be delighted to welcome a colleague on this adventure with me! #praying #hopeful

Of course I was going to reflect on parenthood for my first post since Hugo entered our lives! It’s not just about parenthood but about Bradford and the complexities of the proclaiming the gospel amidst diversity. www.nedlunn.com/2025/01/31/i...

My adaptation of @bruxycavey.bsky.social’s gospel in 30 words (due to his oversimplification, in my mind, of ‘religion’*): Jesus is God with us, come to show us God’s love, heal us of sin, set up God’s Kingdom, and to serve others, so we can share in God’s life…

We’re home!

And they called him Hugo David, which means intelligent beloved. Hugo because of Hugh of St Victor David because of his Grandpa.

Today I honour St Basil and St Gregory of Nazianzus—pillars of Trinitarian theology. Their reflections on the mystery of the Trinity shaped the Church’s understanding of God as unity in diversity. They are significant figures as I prepare for my PhD. I also became a dad! 🤣

Improvisation requires that you ‘love’ your fellow performer…What I mean by ‘love’, in this case, is to decide to trust the other and to listen intently to not just what they say but how they say it and what they don’t say.”https://www.nedlunn.com/2024/12/31/into-culture-inclusive-othering/

Final post of 2024 and I reflect on inclusion and the strange lack of progress on achieving it. www.nedlunn.com/2024/12/31/i...

My french learning just moved up a level!

Do you long to run away or shut out this world with all its media noise and social strife? Does the palpable cultural cynicism paralyse you into despondency? Today we celebrate a birth that brings a challenge and a promise…

Very grateful to colleagues. Bring the joy! #clergyportclub

Up early to get food for Christmas. This is how you fit things in as clergy in Advent!

Rehearsals are underway with Rachel Chaplin and April Fredrick ahead of today's 1pm Advent Meditation. Join us for a beautiful performance; it's pay as you feel. #FollowTheStar #VisitBradford

It gets to this time in a month and I start the internal editing process of blog post writing. No words have been written but I start to cut or blend ideas. My current criteria is: have I engaged with a cultural expression about it? Have I written it before? Am I ready enough to write it now?

All are welcome to a special collaboration this #Advent on Friday 20th December. This project is part-funded by Bradford Council’s West Area Committee and supported by the Bradford West Area Co-ordinator’s Office. For more see bradfordcathedral.churchsuite.com/events/7l9xw... #FollowTheStar

Although I’m not doing much ‘Christmas’ events I am thinking about how richly complex an intercultural season it is. I have set aside some time to think about how I might better grab those cross cultural opportunities next year.

I’ve joined Bluesky.
