Mutt was a YMCA cigarette delivery dog during WWI. These dogs delivered cigarettes and even provided psychological comfort, even just for a fleeting moment, to the soldiers out on the field. They were known to boost moral.

I hate how decades later after getting kicked by a horse in the hip(and never seeing a dr about it cause well is it broke? No? Then rubs some dirt on it and go, era of mentality) I am having to deal with the aches and pains of an old injury. Hope I never have to get it replaced in my old age
