En EE UU se habla español en todas partes (es el segundo país del mundo con más hispanohablantes), así que la Casa Blanca no podrá detener su empuje por muchas webs que suprima elpais.com/cultura/2025...

Shutting off Starlink would effectively mean that the United States was aiding fascist Russia militarily against democratic Ukraine. Musk has done it before, in a more limited way, to foil a Ukrainian attack on the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Ukraine's Russian-occupied Crimea.

So let's get this straight: The U.S. and Elon are now extorting Ukraine and threatening to turn off their Starlink Internet access unless they give their critical rare earth minerals to the United States? Staggering levels of corruption.

⚡️US threatens to shut off Starlink if Ukraine won't sign minerals deal, sources tell Reuters. The U.S. first raised the prospect of shutting off Starlink after Zelensky rejected the deal presented on Feb. 12. Starlink terminals are critical in securing Ukraine's battlefield communications.

Good overview by @karenhao.bsky.social on the risks of scientific decline in America. But here’s the thing I’m noticing, based on people I’ve spoken to and who write to me about my own reporting: The argument that all innovation started w/federal research is apparently not sufficiently persuasive.

It has been an insane week. Here is my 5th article published in 6 days. "The geopolitical earthquake in Europe will inevitably see aftershocks in Asia. Those aftershocks have arrived. Welcome, Australia, to an entirely new Pacific security environment." www.smh.com.au/world/oceani...

And again, European analysts twisting themselves in knots over every Trump brainfart against Ukraine and the EU need to take deteriorating US domestic political stability into account in analysis of whether under Trump the US will be able to do anything at all

Strong words from Dmytro Kuleba. I'm not sure there is a 'West' after the last 10 days of US bomb-throwing. But it's time for Europeans to realise that Ukraine’s success is our vital national interest too - we cannot leave Putin & Trump to destroy the foundations of post WW2 European security.

Germany’s likely next chancellor, Friedrich Merz, has warned that Europe should be ready for Donald Trump to no longer uphold NATO’s mutual defense commitment unconditionally. Asked whether Germany should seek protection under France’s nuclear umbrella, he had this to say 👇 ow.ly/HeOJ50V4ooe

President Salome Zurabishvili called on Georgians to take to the streets en masse on February 25, the day of the Soviet occupation, when the Russian army entered Tbilisi in 1921. The Georgian Democratic Republic kept resisting for another month.

Oil and gas prices say Trump's 'peace' plan in Ukraine has failed as they return to previous price levels 👇

Do you think Trump's humiliation at not 'ending Russia's war in Ukraine on day one' has led him to surrender to Putin in the hope he can pretend to be working for peace?

It’s simple. If they planned to consider Ukr/Europe’s positions, they wouldn’t exclude them from the talks. Sounds like the plan is to gaslight/deny/walk back until they’ve worked out the deal w Ru and then paint Ukraine/Europe as warmongers or dummies for rejecting it.

Donald Trump’s embrace of America’s adversary and rejection of its ally has been so swift and complete that even top Kremlin officials are astonished.

Putin's war economy has painted him into a corner, making it impossible for him to back down. His continued grip on power is now fully dependent on his ability to bankroll arms production and pay his troops. @stefaningvarsson.bsky.social & A. Golts @sceeus-ui.bsky.social sceeus.se/en/publicati...
