I’m reading text to getready for the Knotting Seminar of the Lacanian Compass & New Lacanian School tomorrow in New York.

I used to think people with kids were over reacting when cold/flu season came around. I was like, “Why are you freaking out so much?” Now, as a #parent of 4 #kids, when it’s cold/flu season, and one of my kids coughs, I’m like “Move the doomsday clock to one minute past midnight!”

Now, I’m pruning who I follow here… Bluesky (and other forms of social media) are windows onto the world, but we can control the view they show us, eh?

Over the past three days, I’ve managed to wrangle my email inbox(s) from hundreds of messages (83 new/unread) to eight emails (four new/unread). A small victory, but one that I felt worth enough to brag about with a post on Bluesky. #email #postmodern-living

This album is wonderful. #Listening

All these years later, this one always makes me laugh. #TheFarSide

From78 is a podcast about the subjective experience of time. Episode 013, the forth episode of the second season, went live today. share.transistor.fm/s/c2d0246f

Is anyone checking out izzzzi.net? It looks very interesting.

I’m doing a lot of teacher into Jacques-Alain Miller’s idea of the partner-symptom. Anyone know of good texts tha focus on this topic? #lacan #psychoanalysis

My wife and I had our fourth child (first daughter) yesterday. For me, these few days in the hospital exist as such a liminal space. I can sense the day-to-day rhythms and routines going outside of it, but I feel like I’m in a short reprieve from them. I also experience time differently…

I wrote up and did a short QTS podcast regarding thoughts on minimalism in general and my reaction to the idea, "Anything taken to the extreme can be complicated. And simplicity is no exception." www.surplusjouissance.com/minimalism-d...

I've got a project right at the finishing line. One more set of edits, and I think it will be good to go... It is tempting to try to push through this last round, but I've been going at it for so long that I know I need a break. Till tomorrow then.

I just released this episode of InForm:Podcast, where I speak with practicing Lacanian psychoanalyst Isolda Alverez about the way the aims of the psychoanalytic clinic have changed from Freud's time through Lacans and into the present day. share.transistor.fm/s/15abb053

A new post is up at [S][J][P] comparing speaking with one's body to playing a musical instrument. www.surplusjouissance.com/the-body-is-...

QTS-007 is up. A silly remark leads to a silly story about hypoallergenic dogs. This leads to a comparison of the Internet now to the Internet that existed from about 2000-2010. A discussion of an album that relaxes rather than sedates. share.transistor.fm/s/49c79e99
